Lou got outplayed by a backup goaltender. It's that simple. Islanders got outplayed.

These guys are going to be worn out if the whole series is like this. Islanders are taking control of the speed in the 3rd. Lou looks asleep.

Watching Panthers games makes Sabres games look like they're in slow motion.

Did Stamkos really "captain" his team to a game 6 of the Cup final..... Or did his team just make it to game 6 of the Cup final and he just happen to be labeled a captain? Yes
-
Or it could be that that's about the percentage of Finnish players in the league. :D

Ah OK, gotcha. I got confused when you said you were aiming for a 7:00 mile since you said you recently set a personal best of 7:24 pace in a 5k. I figured if you can do a 5k @ a 7.24 pace, a 7:00 mile should be easy for you(not a 7:00 pace). I either run a steady 5k, or do a series of several 1/4 mile sprints. I've never really timed myself with a 5k interval like you do. Even though it slowed me down, it seemed like a more intense workout. I think you're faster than I am in the 5k, I'm in the low 25 minute range right now. That's cool, I was just throwing the trail thing out there to see what others have done..... hard core or not. I'm far from hard core, just a recreational rider. Still would like to try a mini vacation centered around a long trail ride. Preferably within 8-10 hours from here.

Wynwood is pretty good, their IPA. Funky Buddha is pretty good too, they've got a wide selection for everybody. Not sure how readily available these are out of state. Considering the population of the tri-county area, we're pretty limited on microbrews. So many chains down here you have to search a little to find something unique. Good non-chain restaurants/bars are all buried, I'm still finding new places not far from me. I've given up on my local area, starting to spend more time in Lauderdale. Good? -
So you should be in the 6 minute +/- range for a mile run. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I tried the interval 5K and it actually slowed me down a bit.

A 7:00 mile, or a 7:00 mile pace for a 5k?

Not to mention the raw materials needed for the containers they come in. --------------------------- If you all wanted to conserve water you'd buy your booze from South Florida distilleries and breweries. We're just dumping excess water by the hundreds of millions of gallons. -
Thanks for the pics. I'm using 5 different tracking apps (to see which ones I like best) as well as a Bryton to track all my trips. I like Strava for the segments that you mentioned, it helps with routine routes to monitor improvements.

The lack of goal scoring in this last game was almost more exciting than more scoring and over-officiating in the other two. Almost like you knew it would come down to the team that actually won it as opposed to the other two where the refs tried to decide it.
-
Damn dude, sorry to hear that. I've been thinking about heading out of town to a good trail and that looked intriguing. Although, not sure how to complete a large trail with no way to stay the night in between.
-
Officiating is already ruining the Rags-Pens series. I was hoping this wouldn't turn out to be another 2014-15.

Awful lot of Preds fans in Pittsburgh.

OK, I gotta ask....... What's a GCWOK? I figure it's as good excuse as any. :D -

I don't have any kids, not adding to the population is the best thing anybody could do. -
Anybody ever biked the Silver Comet Trail in Georgia?

Montreal won't hire anybody that's not a French-Canadian. Their choices are limited.

You're not too cynical, the naivety of many others just makes it seem that way.

You're right, I missed that. Nothing until May 8 after that though. 3 events in 3 nights for the arena staff, they're not used to that. Should be good for scheduling for the 2nd round. :D
-
You were right about Florida, arena schedule is open. They could have played the first game on Wednesday to prevent the back to back Thurs/Fri. Maybe they thought it was too many Wednesday games. Maybe they thought Brooklyn needed one more night off since they finished with a back to back. Who knows....

I wouldn't trade for Sakic, he's too old.

Yup, the BB&T Center is wide open.

Trochek is twice as tough and half the size of Bjugstad. You're right, he's been a great addition. Should be back sometime in the 1st round. Don't mean to derail the thread in its infancy.
