  1. Anybody going to see the Trumpster tonight?
  2. Personally I'd like to see the first round spread out a little more so that there are less games each night. Let these guys get some rest and hit em hard as playoffs progress. Those guys were beat last night, the players have their say, the league has their say.......................we both know who wins.
  3. We did, the question was whether or not there was something going on at BB&T. You proved me wrong that there was a concert. We didn't come to a conclusion on alternate scheduling though. Both places were wide open after boxing. That would have put a game 7 on April 28.
  4. Both the Panthers and Islanders were completely out of gas in that overtime. I've can't remember seeing two teams drag their a*s*s*e*s like they did. They were going full tilt for 8 periods in 4 days, it was bound to happen. They were ways around 3 games in 4 nights, poor scheduling again on the league's part.
  5. Pretty good piece on the Panthers. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/florida-panthers-rebirth/
  6. Nickie D not in your plans?
  7. Did I just hear Doc use the Rayism "a-tall"? -------—------------------------------------------(why do we have post merging) So I'm just going to assume the league missed the Abdelkader assault, the one that should get him suspended one game for a fight in the last 5 minutes, the rule (42.77?) that was created to stop teams from 'sending a message'. Man, with all those TV's in Toronto you'd think somebody would have seen it. They must have went out for a smoke.
  8. Random early playoff stat..... Number of playoff games to go to OT 2005: 21.3% (19-89) 2006: 6.67% (1-15)
  9. It looks like he's thinking dirty thoughts about the chick he's spying on through his rear view mirror.
  10. Ah, I remember that day in BFLO. Every pasty white Buffalonian, crawling out the front door, hands covering their eyes as to not be blinded by the sun they haven't seen in 7 months. Good times, good times.
  11. That does makes sense. If you're going for a casual jog and the treadmill is set slower than your comfortable pace you actually exert yourself more trying to slow down to keep up (if that makes sense).
  12. It wasn't all that common. But when they did it, they did it right!
  13. Let it be addressed when we actually start seeing it after every goal.
  14. There have been rat sightings every year here and there, just as often as the octopus. Which says something considering the Panthers haven't won for 20 years haha.
  15. Cool pics from everybody! Just got my new rack and trunk bag so I'm all set for some more long bike trips. Summer's here and that little seat bag just wasn't enough to get through 35+ miles. Maybe now I can get some more pics.
  16. 20 years. God forbid the home fans actually have a lite fun. Games nowadays are lifeless as it is, let's outlaw what little is left. I don't recall anybody getting hurt and somehow I doubt it's caused any distress from either team. But it's OK to sit around for 10 minutes while they review an offsides play. This league has enough problems to deal with, somehow I doubt an occasional 2 minute cleanup of plastic rats should be an issue. A delay of game penalty is ridiculous. Especially with so many New Yonkers down here, who's to say it's not the opposing fans throwing them on the ice.
  17. So you want to draw a line for a team tradition that's been around for 20 years. Drawing a line of when we run into problems. It's either all or nothing. I don't see penalties called in Detroit for octopi.
  18. Should they start handing out penalties for throwing hats on the ice?
  19. Here's a novel idea, how about instead of advertisement money from ads on jerseys making it into the wallets of the teams, owners and players......... take that revenue and reduce ticket prices? If you're going to continue to ruin the sport at least think about the fans for once.
  20. Abdelkader needs to be suspended. As a person that loves to see fighting stay in the game, there is no place for somebody to start pounding an unsuspecting player, on the ice, from behind. That is a bitch move. Old school hockey players would never do that, they would only fight players, who both agreed to fight, and do it face to face. He's been pulling this crap all year and getting away with it. I'm a bit behind, recorded that game so I could watch the Panthers win.
  21. There's no denying his knowledge of the game, and his journalistic integrity. He's not a cliche machine and most (almost all) should take some notes. But his delivery really gets old after a while. I don't need for an icing to sound as exciting as a goal. An announcers job is to increase the excitement level as play intensifies. He can't seem to do that and it really does negate everything else he's good at. Doesn't surprise me they've relegated a Panthers game to the least viewed network available.
  22. These Islanders-Panthers games are fun to watch! Refs are letting them play, lots of speed, lots of hits. Better than most of the games I've seen so far.
  23. If you won't have any serious programs running simultaneously hogging upup all your memory, you can get away with 4gb. As has been mentioned, Windows has become more mobile friendly so the amount of RAM required to run it has actually gone down with each new version. As long as you a SSD then you can get away with maxing out your RAM on occasion because the computer stores the memory on your hard drive if the RAM gets maxed out. With a standard hard drive that fragments the drive which isn't good, but it's not an issue with a SSD. I wouldn't recommend 4gb in this day and age, but it's easier to get away with it now than in the past. Personally, I wouldn't want my fingers all over a computer with an STD....... but that's just me.
  24. This is Eichel's team to carry and O'Reilly's team to lead. If Stamkos would be willing to be just another forward, making 7-8 a year, that would be great. But I don't think Stamkos would accept any of that.
