Nice, it's beautiful there. Nice pic.

Ya know, I went through and just figured the 2 goal differential games that had an empty netter would even out for each year. Maybe I was just lazy. I'm curious now, maybe tomorrow I'll go though and look at the 2 goal games and see what I come up with.

Cades Cove?

Sizzle, where is that first picture taken? I think I know.....

Gotta start somewhere.

There can't be a viable 3rd party........... Until people start voting 3rd party. And people buy pickup trucks for other reasons besides having the money to do so.

Hairy bug fetish......... I guess he doesn't like clean shaven.

LTS, I love that beer shot! The simplest things make that picture, like the fact you avoiding shooting the tops of the bottles, that picture would have been completely different if you shot all of them in their entirety. Nice. Thanks. That came out real nice. I'm going to have to eventually give that a shot, if anything just for the fun of it. Maybe I'll check out the trial and compare it to Canon's version, I'm sure Lightroom is better.

That's pretty cool!

The Great Sabrespace Draft Meetup - Big Ditch Brewery ~5-5:30

Sorry you didn't have a good experience. I went to the one in Sunrise this year and I had a blast! If anybody here gets the chance to go, DO IT! You might not get another chance unless you're willing to travel. It was entertaining walking around the arena and seeing all the families meeting up, seeing some of the potential first rounders all nervous about getting picked, seeing some of the Eurochicks get all dressed up like this was the first time they've ever been in a city larger than 1,000 people. Just an all around great experience. -
You still on for one ride a day for the next month?
-
Yeah, I'll pull it up when I get home.

My camera saves in RAW and JPEG, I keep all my RAWs but I haven't really done any post-processing. I prefer to keep my shots as is, but I'd love to eventually get into Lightroom. I've tried some of the Canon software where I can mess with the RAWs, I'm sure Lightroom is much better. Oregon coastline

Are you using SabreSpace's media library? If you want it to post full page you'll need to use a photo sharing site like Imgur or Photobucket.
-
I use Imgur. I like it because it gives you the option of choosing several different sizes to post on a forum. I used to use Photobucket but a few years ago they changed their interface and it hasn't been the same since. Extremely slow. I just wish Imgur's app was a little more useful.

Some great shots so far. Dudacek I like your beach walk shot, just enough 'blur' to highlight your subject. Almost all of my lightning shots are planned, tripod set up, settings changed, location, angle, etc............. I was off shooting some lightning with a storm that really didn't move much, then all of a sudden it started to wrap around itself. I put everything in the truck and tried to beat it home. I eventually got right in front of it, and it was real active. I pulled over and only had a couple of minutes so no time to set the tripod up, no time to set up anything. All I could do was rest the camera on the back of the truck and press and hold the shutter open. Since my eye was on the camera, I couldn't take it off with risk of the camera moving. Basically I took both of these shots without ever seeing it, except for the flash I saw with my left eye and the immediate boom. Never had a clue how they turned out until I got home and uploaded them. Sometimes you just get lucky.

I've got a Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 with image stabilization. It's nothing special but it works perfect for me. Not sure how much she wants to spend or how serious she is, but this is a great lens for a hobbyist. This is Nikon's version of that Canon. Not sure what professional think about image stabilization lenses, but it's definitely worth the extra money. Without the image stabilization, a tripod is almost required. Or something to rest the camera on. I'm no expert so there's probably better advice to be had. http://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/camera-lenses/af-s-vr-zoom-nikkor-70-300mm-f%252f4.5-5.6g-if-ed.html

Josie, those are both great shots. That bottom one is nice the way the background blends in, the top one almost looks like a painting.

Not trying to take away from all the great photos in the "sweat" thread, but I thought having a photography thread might be a cool idea. I enjoy taking pictures and usually make it a big part of my vacations, if not having planned around it. Maybe this thread could take off, maybe not. But lets see some of your pictures that you're proud of. I've got a bunch I can add, I'll start with one. Mods feel free to delete this if it might take away from the other thread, it's not the intention.

Holtby's looking great out there, all series. Maybe next year he'll play 75 games in the regular season.

It's all that time and space.

Give Oshie an Oscar for that performance.
