  1. How Newt got elected is completely besides the point that him and Clinton balanced the budget. I've been civil with you up to this point, I can see you're unwilling to return the favor. Eleven, I thought you were better than that. I guess I was wrong.
  2. Try checking out social media, this is pretty tame. I don't see a lot of crazy.
  3. On a separate note, I find it ironic that a key argument in the left's push to legalize drugs is that the war on drugs isn't working; yet they think banning guns will stop killings.
  4. I see your point. I'm not implying everybody become armed guards. I'm not even advocating everybody possess firearms if they don't choose. But these mass shootings consistently have one common denominator, and that they occur in gun free zones. Even if nobody in a particular location is carrying, if it's not a gun free zone the chances increase substantially that a mass shooting will not occur. If guns were allowed in the club and this guy opened fire, say 1 in 100 had a gun, there would have been 3 people (I heard there were roughly 300 people in the club) there with the ability to take the guy out if only for their own protection; instead of having to wait for the police to show up. Which would have drastically reduced the death toll.
  5. You might get flamed, but your post mentions many things the left doesn't want to admit. As was apparent by Obama's presser.
  6. ....... another mass shooting in a gun-free zone.
  7. Politicians pander to everybody that voted for them. Do you seriously think Clinton didn't pander to socialists and blacks to get votes? There is a level of hypocrisy and I see it everywhere, nowhere am I ignoring it because of my political leaning. I'm not a Newt fan. I certainly don't identify as a Republican, and I'm about as atheist as you're going to get. Jim Baker, Ted Haggard and Rush Limbaugh are scumbags, at best. The hypocrisy lies in the fact that you guys don't think this exists on both sides of the aisle. Like him or not, Clinton and Gingrich balanced the budget and it had nothing to do with his religious views. Nor did it have anything to do with the fact that he cheated on his wife, nor did it have anything to do with Clinton getting his knob polished by anybody other than his wife. I thought we were talking about Gary Johnson.
  8. His religion had nothing to do economic policies.
  9. I'm sure it helped, but the economy still needs to be steered in the right direction. For the record, I pulled Newt's name off the top of my head. Not sure why this is generating so much discussion.
  10. Guess what, that applies to almost every single politician out there. Including the other half to balance a budget, Bill Clinton. To single out Newt is hypocritical in itself. Many people vote with their heart, that's probably half the reason we're in this mess. You guys search for the moral high ground, I'll stick to the ones that get the job done. The state of the country is more important than somebody being mean to his wife. I don't get a job based on my personal life, don't know why it's any different for a politician. Note, I mentioned Newt as being a better option as President.................. not a good option.
  11. I really couldn't care less what any of these guys did with their personal lives. Newt and slick Willie were the last to balance a budget. Any politician can sleep with whoever they want if they can manage to pull that off again.
  12. It's all good, don't worry about it. I'll probably go with the Ambient, if I go with anything at all.
  13. What would you pick of the two I posted?
  14. That's a strong dog, look what he did to those bars!!!!
  15. Four of his five highest point totals of his career have been in the last six years. The only other season you might be able to throw into the equation is 2006-07 when he missed 18 games.
  16. Scott Hartnell has waived his no-move clause. Sounds like teams are already getting ready for expansion draft time. He's got three years left on his contract. I always liked Hartnell. At 34, his game isn't declining. If anything his production has increased the last 4-5 years.
  17. Yup Me three.
  18. Newt Gingrich is a better option than both of these clowns. Think about that for a minute.
  19. That looks interesting! I'm more into the stats stuff, but that could make a great father's day gift. They've got a real nice site. I'm browsing through everybody's videos. I wish the weather station companies could be this updated and modern with their stuff.
  20. Now here is a player Sabres fans will be completely satisfied with.
  21. Any weather geeks in here own a personal weather station? I'm looking to get one for father's day, and maybe myself (used to have one years ago). Was looking for recommendations. I have a couple in mind but both have something that I don't like about them. This one is cool, but in order to get it to upload to Weather Underground it has to be connected to a computer that is always powered on. Really don't feel like setting up an old laptop to stay powered all the time. https://www.acurite.com/weather-environment-system-900wes.html This one uploads directly to Weather Underground, but the display app is limited to Apple products. No Android. http://www.ambientweather.com/amws1400ip.html
  22. Every week before a Bills game, they would come out with a parody for each team they were playing based on an old rock song. They were real popular. If I remember correctly 97 Rock took over the responsibility a couple years later. At the end of the year they'd sell a tape with all the songs on them. I was listening to Spotify earlier and Paul Simon's '50 ways to leave your lover' came on and I caught myself saying '50 ways to beat Seattle'. I paused for a second and asked myself, did I just repeat a Bills song from 28 years ago? Do a Google search for Buffalo Bills Boogie, there's a ton of them on there. Mostly from '91 and '92. Those weren't as good as '88's.
  23. I hear that. Nothing makes a run (especially on a treadmill) worse than counting down the miles left. As soon as you start thinking about how long you have left, it'll be 10x worse. It's like a long road trip. If you see a rest stop is 30 miles ahead and think about peeing, you'll barely be able to hold it. But if you don't think about it, you can go for two hours and not have to piss. Anything to keep your mind occupied. I listen to Lex & Terry.
  24. Gary Johnson polling at 12%. It's possible we could see him in the debates.
  25. Who here is old enough to remember this?
