  1. Beautiful.
  2. For the record, I have no idea why Jeff was banned from TSW, but I expect it had to do more with the way in which he expressed his opinions than with the opinions themselves. So far I see no issue with the way he's expressing himself here.
  3. It's not selfish to be conflicted or scared about having kids. Your reasons are totally legitimate. And no one knows you better than you know yourself. OTOH, while your friends/family that are urging you to do so might be speaking out of turn, they have legit reasons for their exhortations -- not just the desire for a cute plaything. The biggest reason, of course, is their concern that by waiting you could find yourself boxed out of an incredible, life-changing experience. I hate to say it, but this has happened to a number of women I know. I'm a believer that if you take care of the little things, the big things take care of themselves. Having a baby, and taking care of an infant, is really freaking hard (and I didn't even do the hard part!). Those 1st 3 months, until he/she is sleeping through the night -- holy mackerel. But it is so freaking worth it.
  4. Exactly. If Drew Brees or Philip Rivers pops loose? By all means, move him in and send TT out. Spend a top-10 overall pick on a QB? Yes -- the FNG can either apprentice underneath TT or take the starting job, with TT coming in off the bench as needed. But there is NFW that they should jettison TT without a legit star or possible star taking his place.
  5. TT has his limitations, but, in his 2nd year as a starter, he directed the #8 scoring offense in the NFL despite being saddled with a lousy group of WRs and generally working in a highly dysfunctional situation. He also runs like Michael Vick. Let's see how he does with a respectable group of WRs and a professionally coached and managed franchise before jamming any silverware into any orifices.
  6. I think it's fair to say that it's harder to predict NFL QBs drafted in the top 10 than it is to predict NHL players at any position drafted in the top 10. Certainly if Mahomes turns into a star, Jeffismagic will be vindicated. Similarly, if TT has a good year, the Bills' decision on QB this summer will be vindicated. But we are pretty far from either of those conclusions right now.
  7. Hmmm...McCabe and their 2018 first-rounder for Duchene? I think the Sabres would need to unload a real salary in the deal, so... McCabe and Kane? McCabe and Okposo? McCabe, Okposo and the 2018 #1? I don't think Colorado would accept any of the above.
  8. I think there is a 3rd option: if you have your own EZ Pass transponder, just bring it with you when you rent a car and use that one. Of course, you have to remember to bring it, remember to keep the rental car's transponder box closed, remember not to leave your transponder in the rental car when you return it and remember to check your rental car bill and make sure you didn't get charged for tolls.
  9. Not me. IMHO he's not going to look at McD's contract and then agree to something in single-digit millions (cry me a river!) This. The offer sheet is an interesting scenario. They are so rare -- I think even Stamkos didn't get one -- but it would be crazy to rely on that, as the downside is enormous. I agree with all of this, especially the bolded. Thirded. Why? Do you not think both sides want 8 years?
  10. It's a small thing, but still: those toll transponders that rental cars have that allow you to use the EZ Pass lanes? I learned today that Hertz charges $5 per day to use them. It's a complete gouge and is not disclosed when you rent a car online, other than a mention, only visible if you scroll down under "terms and conditions," that an unspecified service charge applies. Hertz Gold Club is by far the best way to rent a car IMHO, but this is a BS move by them.
  11. Well, they did fire the bozo GM who was primarily responsible for the failure to bring in a QB.
  12. Correct.
  13. Why do you think this? I don't agree at all.
  14. Your skepticism about the Bills is certainly justified, but I'm kinda optimistic, including as regards TT, McD and the Pegulas.
  15. Welcome Jeff!
  16. So I've been thinking about the riders of the other 2 dragons, and I'm ready to predict that the 3rd rider (assuming Jon Snow is the 2nd, which as I mentioned above I think is a lock) is going to be either Tyrion (probably) or Bran (possibly).
  17. I agree that Danerys is, despite hotness and frequent nudity, kind of annoying and entitled on occasion. But I don't think the White Walkers would give Westeros back to the Children of the Forest -- I think the Children of the Forest created the White Walkers as a weapon against the First Men, but the White Walkers turned against the Children of the Forest.
  18. They didn't sign Boldin to stretch the field. They signed him to be a big target who is smart, knows how to get open on short routes, including in the red zone, won't drop it or commit a dumb penalty and will help move the chains.
  19. In the last scene in which we see Bronn, he's looking at a white horse. The guy who saves Jaime jumped off a white horse to do so.
  20. Yuck. I think he's bottom-3rd in the NFL at the #2 WR slot. Separately: Boldin had 67 catches and 8 TDs last year. That is pretty solid production and not indicative of someone who's fallen off the table. He could be a really good addition.
  21. I think it's a lock.
  22. I never watched House, but the star plays a great villain on "The Night Manager," which is a very good spy thriller mini-series that I think is on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
  23. I replayed it in slo-mo. It wasn't totally clear, but I'm about 80% confident it was Bronn. These are all true, but I'm referring more to the viewers' expectations based on a lengthy story arc than to the characters' expectations (and in this case, Jaime likely had an expectation that his charging Drogon was highly likely to end up in him getting very crispy). As for remembering anyone else being saved -- a very similar situation happened a couple of seasons ago with Tyrion almost drowning when he and Jorah were attacked by the stone men near Valyria. That episode also ended with Tyrion vanishing into the depths IIRC, and the next one started with him being revived on the beach. It's "Bran" you hoser
