  1. Getting ready to set myself up for failure because I'm attending the Golden Knights game tomorrow night. Yes, I still care, but less and less every non playoff season that goes by. Its getting old man!
  2. 🤬Terry Pegula and 🤬this team! So sick of this garbage.
  3. I hate it when the game is over after the first period.😡
  4. So how do the Bills figure to draw big corporations for the new billion dollar stadium then? Don't forget about all the PSLs (personal $eat license) the fans will have to shell out too on top of the season ticket prices. Not attacking your post, Marvin, but it seems it just isn't viable for WNY to have endless corporate money.
  5. Look at Danny Briere: Height 5.10 -- Weight 181 He was an incredible player and on the small side. I wouldn't worry about Benson's current height / weight. He's got the hockey IQ, he's tenacious and creates plays.
  6. Benson is hustling all over the ice and he works hard. Its been great to see. So my question is this. What does it really matter if he stays and burns a year of his entry level contract? What is the downside to that? I've never understood it really. If he's going to be good, which seems to be the case, why care about losing a year? Let's go Buffalo - Time to get in the win column tonight!
  7. It didn't help things either when the Rangers blocked a million shots last night! Gheesh, just brutal. And Tage had several horrible misses where he didn't even hit the net. Delete this one out of the memory banks and move on.
  8. While this is true, one could argue Quebec has a passion for hockey unlike the other three I mentioned.
  9. Atlanta failed twice so that is a hard NO. Houston? I'd pass on that one but I guess it could be a Dallas Stars rival? Quebec? I'd take that in consideration because they love hockey and would do well. Kansas City? Definitely NO!
  10. Never say never, but I'm gonna say never on this one.
  11. Lost a true legend yesterday. One a of kind and a true hockey hall of famer. I was so glad I got to meet him at the Alumni Event they had last year in Vegas at Hofbrauhaus. Spoke to him for 10 mins. Real friendly and talked a bit about Buffalo. I asked him how does he remember every player every game during the heat of the action. Do you study the roster / jersey numbers before each game or what? He said "hell no, i just wing it every time." HA, he had me laughing but he was dead serious. If there was anyone who could "wing it" it was definitely Rick. His calls were simply incredible. The hockey gods now have another one with them. Rest in peace, Rick.
  12. Most of those are a hard NO for me, but the ones I kept from your list, I would definitely agree with. Especially CHIPS IN PUCKS. That's a real good one which should be implemented. I also would love to see a Sept - April season. Awarding the CUP in June just sucks overall.
  13. Um, a that's a big NO on kicking it in. Its not soccer. And, I'm just not on board with 3 points. My tweak would be 2pts for a Regulation win and OT. 1 pt for each team making it to the shootout (plus the other point for a shootout win) AND ZERO points if you lose in Overtime. It would make both teams try as hard as possible to win in OT instead of just floating around waiting to get to the shootout. Just my 2 cents.
  14. Here's one I've always thought could use a revamp. Calling a timeout. Each team gets only one per game and its only for 30 seconds. That to me is ridiculous. You can barely get the guys to the bench let alone draw up a play or what not in 30 seconds. Why not give each team a minute or 1:30? Seems to me 30 seconds is way too short. Now, i understand there are aprox three TV/commercial timeouts per period, but still doesn't give the team calling one enough time in my opinion. Look at basketball, friggin teams get like 15 timeouts per game (ok, i exaggerated but still). Give the coaches and players more time to use their only one timeout.
  15. It was just mentioned above, but Mogilny for Peca was a killer for me. HOWEVER, Mike Peca became my favorite soon enough. So it turned out to be a "win" in the end.
  16. It's baffling that he is still not in the HOF. Every game I went to at the AUD in '92, either him or LalalalalaFontaine had a hat trick. It was wild! Patty had so many assists to Mogilny that year it was awesome.
  17. 2017 not 2019 and 6 years not 4. Meanwhile the Sabres... 53 years and counting😠(yeah i know, '75 and '99). The hockey gods hate us!
  18. I love this one. Its perfect. The other reason its great is that we won't have to award the CUP winner in friggin June! It should be over by mid May. Of course the owners and league won't agree to that because money money money money$$$.
  19. Absolutely! Terrible call. Instead, we're going to Quadruple Ooooooooverrtime!
  20. Atlanta has had two chances at this. The answer is NO!
  21. Glad Delaware North is on the out because most of their food was awful for a long time. Nice to get some new blood in there and feature more WNY favorites. The only downside is the prices will be going even higher, unfortunately. Allegiant Stadium for the Raiders is crazy pricey on the concessions and get your checkbook ready for those PSLs$$$$$$$$$$$$ to get your season tix.
  22. May the playoffs evade them for seasons to come. It would be glorious!
  23. Well it sure isn't Pittsburgh! 🤣 It feels so good as a hockey fan to finally see those bastards out of the Playoffs (Capitals too). From WGR this morning: "As you look ahead to next year, Caufield said there are numerous holes that have to be made up this offseason, and they’ll have to do it with limited salary cap room. They’ll also have a few albatross contracts to deal with: - Mikael Granlund: Five points (1+4) in 20 games, $5 million - Jeff Carter: 38-years-old, a minus-16, $3.125 million - Jeff Petry: 35-years-old, 31 points (5+26) but inconsistent, $6.25 million They have just over $63 million already committed to next season, according to CapFriendly, and that’s with free agents Tristan Jarry and Jason Zucker, as well as restricted free agents Alexander Nylander and Drew O’Connor. Plus, after next season Jake Guentzel becomes an unrestricted free agent. “They are multiple moves away,” Caufield said. “You even hear players, Evgeni Malkin saying they were faster than them. They are not built properly, they are multiple moves away. They are multiple players away to compete."
