I think Buffalo will have picks in 2015 1 in the top 3, 1 in the teens( islanders pick),and 1 in the 20's( Blues Pick). I see Murray moving Stewart and maybe Ehroff at draft time or trade deadline for more picks or to move up but I'm thinking to move up.

I agree. I don't know why people think just because Snow is the GM that they will be bad. They have a lot of young talent coming and I expect their goaltending to be better. They the Islanders have lots of cap space and could make more moves. Snow isn't just going to sit there and say yeah we will be bad and give Buffalo a solid shot at McDavid. Not happening folks! Only way they are bad if this team gets decimated by injuries.

I posted this same message in the 2015 draft post I'm hoping we have another bottom 2 finish. This franchise and fan base need a guy like McDavid or Eichel in the worst possible way. I said it awhile back that the Islanders wouldn't give us that 2014 pick not being in the top 5 plus I'm thinking they will try to do something to get Sam Reinhart that way they have 2 of the 3 brothers on their team. I see the Islanders pick being 8-14 but more towards the teens. They have a lot of young talent and if Strome can be better which I'm sure he will this team could be in wildcard contention. It all depends how and when Tavares comes back and how good he will be plus the state of their defense and goaltending. I'm not that excited about the Islanders pick anymore as I think Garth Snow is going to do everything in his power to make sure we don't have a top 5 pick. -

Sorry but as much as people like Miller I believe he's a good not great goalie that can't win the big games. End of Story. Now let's talk about Vanek for a second this guy has all the talent to be a great player but no drive and no hustle. He is not worth a big money contract he will probably get this off-season.

He probably did overpay that trade with LA but I'm sure the scouting staff and Murray seen Fasching enough to pull off that trade. I guess when he wants a player he likes he's gonna go for it even if he has to overpay.

It wouldn't shock me if Stewart, Stafford and Erhoff are all gone. I'm guessing one might be gone at this draft and the other two by the deadline next year this way he can build the team with his hands all over his new core.

I had a feeling that he was going to get signed in St. Louis. And if they were going to re-sign him it would be after the draft. I see San Jose and Washington as possible spots. I know some think Anaheim or Pittsburgh but I don't think he goes to either one of those teams.

Ducks need an upgrade on defense and another scorer for the second line. I still have no idea why they traded Dustin Penner.

You don't get expectional status unless your really good. Tavares was a great player in junior even if the knock on him was his speed. I want players that can play and that can skate. I want either one of the Sams plus I wouldn't be against them taking Ekblad. I know they need offense but I'm not sold on Myers.

Tavares was already really good. We don't need another mediocre skater like Grigs.

Wow I don't follow the Bills as close as the Sabres but some fans here seem never to be happy. You have a new GM making bold moves something no Bills GM has done since since the Kelly era and people complain. To me problem with the Bills is they can't keep their top players as soon as they hit free agency. It's like they take one step forward and two steps back. Who knows how the defense is going to be with our d coach going to Cleveland. To me it's all about the QB position here. This team will fly or die behind EJ. If he's good this year then we might be a lot better if not prepare for another mediocre season.

Get an offensive lineman in the second and find some diamonds in the rough in the later rounds and they might break out of this mediocre team.

Bills needed to get a super stud WR. Yeah they gave up a first and fourth next year. Who cares they need to start winning and they need some weapons for Manuel. Now draft an offensive lineman in the second and I wouldn't mind seeing a backup QB in later rounds. New GM needed to create some excitement.

This is going to be an interesting draft because people keep saying Florida needs defense but that doesn't mean Florida takes Ekblad or even keeps the pick. I don't see the Islanders giving us their pick this year as they already started to try to fix one of their issues. Plus who knows if the Islanders are willing to move up and take Reinhart that way they have 2 of the brothers on the same team. Edmonton could really use Ekblad but would have to move up to secure him. The Sabres lack offensive firepower in the worst possible way. Plus throw in St Louis on what to do with Miller and u have a ton of question marks. This draft isn't the greatest anyways and I would be pissed if we selected a german with just average skating ability. The focus should be on getting guys who can skate, have a high hockey IQ, have skill and a strong work ethic. It's going to be very interesting this year for Buffalo maybe one of the most important offseasons in franchise history.

Blues picked a bad time to play some bad hockey, now the injuries are piling up. Plus throw in Miller post Olympic's and he doesn't look like that top notch goalie anymore. I said this years ago when Miller wanted to be the USA starting goalie in the last 2 Olympic years he has looked great until after the Olympics and then it's back to his normal self.

Hard to overlook Reinhart having 22pts in 10 playoff games.

The Sabres goal is to put a Stanley Cup winning team on the ice. Why do u think they talk about the Pittsburgh model. Have a few bad seasons get high picks to use for players to be difference makers and then add the pieces around them. Right now they have none and I mean no first line players. I don't want to hear about Grigo and Armia because they are not ready yet. In the system they have offensive players coming but nothing first line. Murray wants his players here and he wants competition at every position to field the best organization. People are going to be highly disappointed when Murray adds just mediocre free agents to this roster next year. And the team next year is just as bad. The 2015 draft is the key. I look forward to having 3 first rounders possibly more if Stewart and Stafford get moved.

That's what I thought of Fasching as well. He's a big kid but needs to work on his skating more and be able to gain a step or two.
