  1. Also doesn't help the year that Buffalo is by far the worst of any team the draft isn't as hyped as the 2013 and 2015 that has more than a few studs at the top and solid players throughout. I like Reinhart a lot and that's the guy I wanted all year but myself like a few others would have thought he would at least put up a point or two and standout alittle. But unfortunately that isn't the case right now. I've been saying if he was going to make this team as a top 6 player he would have to standout like Myers did years ago and up to this point it hasn't happened. I don't know what is going through Murray's and the coaching staff's head about him staying or being sent back. I've heard a lot more about Grigs being a lot better than Reinhart stepping in now. My question is him and Grigs right now aren't 1-2 line centers. Yeah they could probably go third line either one of them but I don't know if that's the plan for either of those guys. I just don't want another Grigs situation throwing the kid in the mix when the team is still building. How I look at it if Tampa can send Druion down who I feel is a better player what makes you think Reinhart can't be sent down. I don't care where he was drafted it is all based on his development and helping the team long term. Me personally send the kid back down.
  2. This is my take on him. We all know he's gonna be a very good player but it's obvious he isn't ready to make it in the top 6. I don't want this team pushing him into the nhl and end up with another Grigs situation. I for one think if he was gonna make the squad he would have to stand out like Myers did years ago. And that's not the case right now. I think they will give him a few regular season games but will end up in junior when it's all said and done.
  3. I think Carolina might possibly be a bottom 5 team. It should be an interesting season. People talk about all these picks but if Buffalo doesn't hit on the majority of these picks then the rebuild will take awhile.
  4. I don't even know if you can consider Armia a sniper either he hasn't proven anything in North America. You would have thought he would have dominated the Taveres city tourney but didn't and doesn't appear like he's going to be making this team out of training camp. Hodgson is a good offensive player but he just sucks defensively.
  5. Crazy thing is that Bennett is getting a lot of buzz out of Calgary. I'm thinking it's based on his skating ability. I like Reinhart a lot but after watching him play a couple of games he needs more speed. The kid is destined back to junior. The kid would absolutely have to Wow the coaching staff and GM Murray and I highly doubt that's happening. I wouldn't rush him at all. No need to play him on the third line. I'm just wondering if Grigs is more ready than Reinhart right now?
  6. The less we see Weber the better. I get it Weber works hard and plays physical but it seems like he always out there for a lot of goals against. If your gonna be a stay at home defenseman u need to be solid in your own end. I'm thinking Bennett skating ability is making him standout. Speed kills in this league. That's one thing I think Reinhart needs to improve.
  7. Meszaros is probably thinking how did I get paired with this scrub!
  8. I actually don't mind either player and if both can be 20-30 goal scorers consistently which I think both can I say keep them. Another high first won't make much difference in the rebuild. I'm listening to the game and doesn't sound like he's doing much. I like Reinhart and he was the guy I wanted in the draft but I'm all for him going down. No need to rush him. If Drouin can be sent down who I feel is alitle bit better player than Reinhart can be sent down. The two games I seen him play doesn't warrant him being here full time.
  9. I agree time to send Weber packing!
  10. Me too besides his physical game he really doesn't offer much.
  11. Does Murray keep Stewart and Stafford? I think one gets moved. I hate players like this in contract years because both players are pretty decent but usually want more money than they are actually worth.
  12. Weber -3 tonight already. I know he plays physical but enough is enough. You think Enroth won't be the starter. Guess again. Enroth is a solid goalie who has waited awhile to play full time. Stewart will probably have a big year because it's a contract year. So if he puts up 20-30 goals how much money you think he will demand and if GM Murray wants to pay another player Moulson type money. Should be interesting to see how this all plays out. Enroth will be the starter. I think he has a lot to prove.
  13. What people fail to realize is that we really need a super stud in this upcoming draft. The problem I see right now moving forward is goal scorers.. Right now they really don't have any snipers in the system. In a few years when most of these prospects will be older and more developed you will have teams like Colorado and Tampa that will be a battle for us to. Colorado already has 3 great young players and will probably be looking at shoring up that defense soon. Tampa already has a few solid prospects coming and a couple of first rounders this year as well. This team can't afford to miss on these picks and we need players to stand out. I think on paper the defense is going to be solid but it's that lack of elite talent that might hamper this total rebuild. I personally think we need McDavid or Eichel but feel that we are going to be much better than people think and I think Nolan will have guys believing that most analysts have already written this team off at the bottom. What motivation for a coach to feed players. It's not like they don't have veteran players on this team like Edmonton did for all those years. I'm thinking they don't get pick 1 or 2 which would prolong the rebuild.
  14. I think this team is going to be better than people think playing themselves out of the McDavid and Eichel sweepstakes. I think they have a making of a solid defensive core and I think you have a few goaltenders with something to prove. Plus you throw in a full season of Nolan and Trots and I think u have a lot of guys playing hard.
  15. It's okay as long as we can win the lottery then.
  16. Carolina is suppose to be in the hunt for McDavid some people think. Wonder how this will effect them. I still think Buffalo is going to be better than the analysts pick them to finish. Ted Nolan will get a lot out these guys.
  17. Bad break for Carolina and Staal. Losing a very solid player so early.
  18. I agree. If the kid makes an impression like Myers did when he was drafted then I could see them keeping him up. I just don't see that happening.
  19. Not saying that Arizona is going to move but they really could use a player that can fill the seats. Most other teams that are bad are still filling the arena's. Not so in Phoenix. That's my reasoning.
  20. Yes I agree but an injury or two and they are in deep trouble. Maybe it all depends on their goaltending and who knows if they injury bug hits them. To me this team needs a superstar as do we but somehow the NHL will find a way to *uck us!
  21. Yeah that's true. I really hope I'm wrong but you look at Arizona they lost their goal scorers this offseason and were already hurting for goals. Yes they picked up Gagner and Domi will probably make the team this year but who knows how much they can contribute. I just think the NHL would love to help out a struggling fanbase and with Darcy there it would be Karma if he landed the player he wanted that ended up costing him his job. (Not pinning the total rebuild on him but his inability to get the job done is what I should have said).
  22. Both Lemieux and Kaleta can put the puck in the net. They don't have the skill of Grigs but then again Grigs doesn't have the hustle and work ethic of those two guys either.
  23. Well what if the man who started the tear down for McDavid. Actually get his man in Arizona. I wouldn't be shocked for one and think about this. They really don't have much offense wise and who really knows how good they will be or bad. So if Arizona finishes in the bottom 5-8 don't be shocked. I'm sure the NHL would love to put McDavid in Arizona to help a struggling franchise with it's fanbase. You heard it first. I hope it doesn't happen but nothing would shock me with the NHL. It's not like you are actually seeing all the lottery balls in front of you when they are doing the top 5 picks. Who knows what is happening behind those closed doors.
  24. I could see that happening. I just feel their is no need to rush Reinhart into the lineup. If he can't be top 6 then send him back. This team isn't a cup contender and the whole goal is the cup. Tank On!
  25. I like Nolan too but it's interesting I played pickup hockey and met Stephane Yelle who used to play with Colorado and Calgary and he didn't have anything good to say about the guy. Very interesting I thought.
