This should be an interesting offseason. If I'm Miller and Vanek and I have I want to win now attitude I would be asking for a trade soon. I have to agree with the guys from TBN about Terry. I think the fans would like to hear from you about the state of the Sabres. They don't want to hear about it from his puppets Darcy and Ted. Now they are telling people about rebuild like Chicago and Pittsburgh. Only difference is they have smart hockey people running the show. I think people need to stop buying tickets supporting a sub-par product. When the arena is half empty maybe then and only then will they get it. And then the players were wondering why the fans were booing most of the year.

Stop buying tickets and when they have a half empty building they will get the message. Hockey Heaven then prove it!

Plus I wanted to see Poms miss the playoffs after his comments. It would have been great if Minny would have lost and Minny's pick would have won the lottery. Plus I don't know if most know but I guess the owner was fuming hot yesterday.

I think Columbus would be a better match for Chicago. Columbus played great the whole month and Minny hung on for their lives.

I said this for the last couple of years already. They keep winning meaningless games in the last month and affect their position. Instead of getting an elite player they get a decent one. But with this team it doesn't matter because the blame will be on Darcy because of the player they select. I still think the scouting department in general has to do a better job in determining what players can play at the NHL level and help this team get back to the playoffs. To me they have done a mediocre job. Not enough skilled players.

I think Chad works on the other parts of his game to be successful in the NHL. He is pretty solid positionally.

Who else is impressed with these guys. It seems like since we signed Chad he been solid in his own end and Flynn is a solid two way player. Not top line players but smart players. What are your thoughts?

I believe Darcy is here at least for another season. I think Pegula and Black with there make mistake learn from it mentality really is the only thing saving Darcy's ass. I think we all know we need some top end talent here. But with the draft it isn't all Darcy. These scouts watching these kids have to be held accountable. Yes I know Darcy has the final say but a scout has alot of influence as well. If I'm Darcy I load up on offensive players this draft. Unless Florida gets number 1 pick I don't see Seth Jones going first but I see him falling to at least 3-5.

Wow just wow thinking Philly gets 2 points and will pass buffalo in the standings and then the Sabres go win a meaningless game tonight. Not to happy about that. Buffalo blowing draft position for a meaningless game.

I still believe if u look at Millers Vezina trophy win is he really wanted to be the starting goalie for team USA and worked his tail off in the offseason and was mentality prepared for each game that year until after the Olympics and then he went back to his normal self. Just my 2cents. I think Miller is a good and sometimes great goalie but no where near elite. I have never seen Leggio play but looking at stats I believe he should get a shot. Remember Craig Anderson was a backup in most places and ended up in Rochester and Portland. Buffalo always seems to have decent goaltending. I wouldn't be against trading Miller as long as we get decent return to speed up the rebuild.

Is it me or does Chad play a damn good positional game. I think he was a solid pickup.

Who knows if Miller and Vanek want to be part of the rebuild both have been around awhile and the way the league is u only have so many shots at the playoffs or Stanley Cup for that matter. If neither wants to go through this there is no choice but to unload them and get what you can for them. It should be a really interesting off season. I want Minnesota to miss the playoffs that way it will give us another shot at a decent pick.

Work on getting some quality offensive players. I think we have enough defenseman in the system. Load up on the offensive players and please no goalies. I'm even up to trading Miller as long as we get alot back that can speed up the rebuild. Use a two goalie system that way they can push each other. Enroth, Leggio who they should give a look and Hackett.

I guessing with this signing I would use my first and second rounders on skilled offensive players that have size and that can skate

I thought he looked real good especially for how fast everything happened and that he didn't get even a practice in with the team. To me he looks like a solid addition. I don't want to hear people jump on this kid it's still an adjustment to the NHL level but I like that he getting some games in that way he will know what to work on in the offseason.

Oh and by the way yes I'm one of those that want Buffalo to keep losing and the same with Minnesota.

Sorry but you are losing 4-0 and getting outshot badly. Sorry Otter I like you as a player but this team deserves to get booed. And it's not just about the players but the boos have alot to do about the management of this team!

I have to agree with this. If u continue to put a good team on the ice year after year your ticket sales and merchandise will go through the roof. Remember when the Bills were actually really good tickets were hard to come by and merchandise was all over town!

The thing with Brian Burke is he is an aggressive GM. If their is a guy he wants he will go after them hard. That's what this team needs is a guy that can pull those trades off. Say what u want but people can say the Kessel deal was crap and it was but he got most of the younger players back the following year in the Kaberle trade. JVR trade is working in Toronto's favor just like the Phaenuf trade. Yes he's had misses on players but at least he's aggressive to make those moves unlike Darcy.

Here I will give you my takes. I think he did very well in trades dating back to the Hodgson trade. You can't blame Darcy for all those picks that didn't pan out some blame has to be put on the scouts and some on that player. What I do blame Darcy for is the contracts he handed out. No pass there. But I think the scouting staff might have learned something with all the bigger players they have been drafting. Me personally I'm a Brian Burke Fan and I would love to give this guy a shot at GM. Yes we all know about the Kessel deal and some high price contracts but he has got the Leafs to where they are today and getting no credit. I know the Sabres won't fire Darcy but we are stuck with him and if he can't right this ship soon you all know he will be canned. If I were him I would be studying junior hockey players hard the next couple of years because his job depends on it.

Yeah I think Terry and Ted need to see this and say to themselves this is a GM that has balls to make trades like that because no way in hell could Darcy pull off these types of moves. They better take a good hard look at the entire front office and make the necessary changes if they want this team to be a top team year after year!
