This is exactly how I feel. I have been watching Sabres hockey since 1980 and I can't remember a team that is this bad. They can't even score which makes them unwatchable. I thought the last two years was a great chance to finish with a top 5 pick and instead of speeding up the rebuild they just prolong it by going on meaningless winning streaks just to mess up there draft position and still miss the playoffs. Now u throw in possibly losing your only natural goal scorer and your best goalie this makes it much worse. We need to finish in the bottom the next couple of years just to have a shot at Reinhart and McDavid. But like u said with the lottery nothing is ever a given. Plus the way the luck is for the city of Buffalo I'm sure they would lose the damn lottery. It's going to be a long painful couple of years watching this garbage. I don't mind you losing but ###### sakes play hard for 60 minutes and make it at least entertaining.

Not impressed with Stafford at all. I think it's time we move him and his high contract. I highly doubt Minny is going to trade for Vanek. And if we trade Vanek which god I hope we don't because who is going to do most of the scoring? If we trade for 1st rounders I would much rather have the 2015's draft choices. That's when Connor McDavid is available to draft. Yes the kid is that good. Buffalo has to do everything in it's power to acquire the kid. Even if they have to unload all their picks that year for him.

You would have thought that but teams grossly overspending is what happened the last time

Well per TSN- St Louis asked about Miller but price was too high! 4.9 million a season for Weiss wow did that guy hit a home run. He is only worth about half of that.

You didn't actually think they are going to overspend on a bunch of these overpaid mediocre players. All these players signed today are grossly overpaid and I wouldn't want any of them except maybe Clarkson but not at what he got. Then they wonder why all these buyouts were put in place. None of these players are worth what they got today.

Like I said before the only way someone comes here is they are not wanted by any of the contenders. Hopefully this team is at the bottom of the league the next 2 years because the rebuild starts when the team can land Connor McDavid in 2015.

That's why I think it's going to be a long long rebuild. People thought last years team was bad this years squad is going to be worse. All these players who signed today are grossly overpaid and none are worth that money. Clarkson and Horton are not worth that money. No way in hell.

Oh and I think it's going to last for quite sometime. If I live in Buffalo their is no way in hell I would buy season tickets for a few years. This team is going to be painful to watch. Don't get me wrong I will be glad to see the young guys play but Edmonton and Buffalo with all the young guys are any indication it's going to be a long and painful rebuild.

I highly doubt you see any free agents coming here. Who in their right mind will come here. It's going to be someone who isn't really wanted by any of the contenders. I just think this Miller fiasco is going to kill us. I wanted him gone before training camp. Actually I wanted him gone at the draft but this goalie market is bad this year and I just don't see us getting alot for him. Oh their is going to be suffering alright. This will be a young team and if Miller leaves without getting anything of significance this team will be looking at a long rebuild. If I'm Ott I would really look at my options in the near future.

Yeah it would be nice to see Bailey at 52

Okay now I can question the #38 pick. Plenty of players that were ranked higher than him still available.

I think he can grab 3 players that can find the back of the net with the next 3 picks. But if he picks Fucale I will absolutely lose it. I feel the same way that this team has any goal scoring forwards. I guess this is what they meant by suffering.

So Erne at 38 a strong possibility?

I thought Ruhwedel looked really good as well. I think he will be better since he was able to get a few games in. I think he will have the whole summer to work on things to help his game out.

Zadorov-I just like to hit people and score goals-- Hopefully he will hit alot of people People need to relax on the Finnish kid

Kinda thinking the same thing. Plus both probably won't play next year which should cement Buffalo finishing in the bottom 5 unless they go on another meaningless run to ruin their draft position.

I guess they decided the rebuild begins from the Defense out. Makes sense just thought they would have taken a forward with one of these two picks. I don't see why everyone is down on Ristolainen. He will be a solid player but I think everyone wanted one of those offensive players.
