  1. Ive had that feeling for the last 2 days. Ive missed it and almost forgot what it felt like.
  2. Visible welts make me cringe more than blood
  3. Great job PA and everyone involved! Im familiar with writing music, and know that its not easy to embody an era or situation in just a few words. Well chosen lyrics. As I listened, it conjured up a video reel in my mind. Felt like I was re-living all of it.
  4. Granted, most of this could be 20/20 hindsight but one could reasonably think at least 2. When he was hired he had a team, built by someone else, that was high on hustle and had the best goaltender in the world. It was just a bit short on scoring. Going forward, add a few pieces (a sniper or two) and dont screw anything up (avoid contract squabbles, particularly with your captain) and theres a great shot at cup #1. By the time most of that cast moved on after 01, a reasonable timespan of turnover, you are still left with an additional 12 years. Which would suggest the ability to build another successful cast within another 6 to 8 years. And for the most part, like it or not, he did. A team high on talent and scoring, good goaltending. All that was missing was some D depth and later, a little more jam. Going forward, he could add a few pieces and not screw anything up and you have a great shot at cup #2. And here we are.... Rinse, repeat.
  5. Then puts on Kaleta's uni and fools RJ 3 times!
  6. Well now that my name has been so cleverly leaked: The identity of this team is synonymous with underachievement, lack of effort, and no edge. Aside from one year since 07 its been a fringe playoff team at best. I love what Rolston has brought about, I really do. But cycling out some of these guys with one year left on their contracts for some extra picks in what looks like a strong draft is what is best long term. By doing so, the team does not necessarily "tank". An infusion of youth, and its byproduct of exuberance and hunger can be an exciting team to watch. That effort thing everyone talks about... It just seems that this team lacks high end talent. Who is there in the system outside Armia and Grigo with real, difference making skill? Its a short season. Its not like we've all suffered since October. This team is not that far away from being competitive. There are pieces to build around with experience. Lets make a small sacrifice here at the deadline. I feel like there are two winners in the month of June anyways. One lifts the cup, and the other is the first on the clock. There's not much to be happy about in between.
  7. Knocking back a Chivas Regal 12 blended. Over one ice cube, pretty standard but stuff but, in the tumbler from the gift pack.. which opens up a ton of flavors that I had no idea existed in this particular brand.
  8. Ive never seen a Darcy move that anyone ever expected. So I'll jump in on this with a couple dark horse type moves. In: FA Ryan Carter George Parros Matt Carle Trade Bobby Ryan Out: Roy Sekera Brennan 2nd rounder
  9. Speaking of Goose and Pommer, one thing that has puzzled me about this whole thing is that against Carolina, the team chased Bryan Allen around all night after he popped Pomminstein late. When Allen didnt answer in one scrum, Goose just started firing bombs at Tim Gleason. But nothing on Saturday. BTW Didnt Goose and Miller back-pack across Europe a couple summers ago?
  10. No doubt it would be nice. But it would leave me with a very strange what now?? feeling.
  11. As much as it pains me to say it, Im dangerously close to this line. This could very well be my outlook until something changes. I already threw my hands in the air after the summer of inactivity, back-tracking, and excuses.
  12. The inability to hold the puck at the point has been a killer of this PP for as long as I can remember. Oh and a lack of finish never helps either
  13. Gaustad isnt even the player he used to be. Just a one trick pony now
  14. We've got a GM overly loyal to players, yet the perceived notion is that the Front office craps on its players. And he sits on his hands and does nothing in the off season while the team that eliminated them makes all the moves he acknowledged he needed to make. The coach has lost his players and his head is on the chopping block, yet he's part of an ugly 3 headed monster that seemingly cant be broken up because the 3rd head is in charge as the owner is perpetually MIA... It makes me want to do
  15. Gotta laugh now. Kaleta, if you're going to address a problem with Lucic...I dont know maybe you just go in firing instead of getting his attention first. Just a thought.
  16. In other words he saved a Goal Against
  17. Gaustad and Kaleta had a great opportunity to spark this ###### show. Was there a worry going 2 men down with the score 4-0??
  18. SUPPOSEABLY.........There isnt even a way to properly spell this butchering of the English language.
