He was at the game last night, along with DiPofi and Golisano. They are getting the band back together. I blame them for the loss. It certainly looked like a game played under their tenure.

Finally picked up a bottle this weekend. It was just under 70 at my local big box liquor store, but still worth every penny. 118.6 proof, but highly drinkable neat. adding a splash of water opens the nose and the palate. Was suffering from a bit of a cold this weekend, so my palate was limited. Can't wait to spend some quality time with this stuff. Man is is it good! The time in sherry barrels gives it a sweetness to its flavor profile that reminds me of some Irish whiskeys.

I met this really cool girl online. She's only 16, but seems really mature. Turns out she's an undercover cop! How cool is that at her age!

Of all the strange things you have posted, someone removed a David Allan Coe song? THAT is BLASPHEMY!

I can't say that he held the guy back - he didn't appear to slow down at all, and he certainly didn't break stride. My admittedly subjective view says the ball was overthrown far enough that he wouldn't have caught it even assuming for the sake of argument he was held up a touch. What pisses me off is they make that call every time whether he holds the guy up or not - they enforce a no touch policy most of the time, even though that's not what the rule says. Here's the text from the NFL Rules Digest - kind of an NFL rules for dummies, with explanations of the rule. Obviously, you can interpret any situation any way you want under these guidelines.

If the rule is that they are not allowed to even touch the receiver before the receiver touches the ball then that's what the rule should say. The problem I have with it (in the NFL, NHL and every level of sports, including youth sports) is the inconsistency. Every group of refs seems to have their own interpretation of the rule, and the rule is vague enough to allow it.

And who should have gone in to replace him? Reggie Corner? Florence is probably the best cover corner on the team.

Don't forget the PI call where he had his hands on the Giant's hips (Manningham?)but didn't slow him down at all or even cause him to break stride and the ball was thrown five yards over the Giant's head anyway. That one may have been as bad as the jersey pull. What is most upsetting is the last PI call he got was EXACTLY what happened to FJ in the right flat on 3rd down earlier in the game with no call. Call it tight, call it loose, I don't really care - but PLEASE call it consistent.

There's the bad Fitz. I wondered where he went. The pass interference calls and non calls didn't help either.

I will be surprised if they pick up anyone, particularly a receiver, via trade. They value draft picks more than life itself. These guys are proving that the right receiver with the right skill set is plug and play in their offense. I'm sure they have a list of guys on other teams' practice squads that fit their qualifications. With Donald Jones coming back in a few weeks I don't think they will be quick to add anyone, as they will have to clear a roster spot to add anyone. I think we see Brad Johnson and Spiller filling at at the position until Jones comes back.
