I don't think any of us can possibly know who knew what and when or who suspected what and when. I think GoDD is straining the bounds of credulity with the knowledge he is assuming some people possessed based on the nature of their relationships with PSU, 2nd mile or board members of either organization. But this entire situation is so far outside the bounds of what we could rationally expect that it is hard to say anything is impossible. That said (and I have no way of knowing this, it is just my belief based on everything we know about the guy) I just can't fathom Pegula moving forward on an 88 million dollar gift to the university if he had even a hint this was going on. So while I disagree with how far GoDD stretches the web, I don't think he is so far out there that I need to call him on it as I have in the past when I think he has gone too far. I agree with LPF, though, the 88 million will never be used for anything but its intended purpose, and I would be surprised if anything more than seed money has changed hands at this point.

This is what I was getting at in the other thread. After the initial scrum ended, no one makes a move without Ruff's say so - I don't see this team taking on the task of retribution without some kind of direct or indirect OK from Ruff. They never got it, and never did anything about it. I think Ruff just sat back seeing what would happen. I agree that he was waiting to see what would happen, and he wasn't very happy with the outcome. I think Darcy and Lindy have a history of relying on the league to police incidents like this - of playing smart, taking the power plays and trying to make the other team pay that way. After this big ###### sandwich, we may see Ruff returning to vigilante justice, which has to be his first inclination anyway based on who he was as a player. Here's what I said in the other thread:
