  1. But if we blow 7th round picks on quarterbacks we will cut in camp where will we find all our starters?
  2. All true - add Nate Clements and fat Sam and Greer to the list as well. I would add takeo spikes to the list as well as Sam Cowart, but not too many people recover from Achilles injuries to play at a high level.
  3. I didn't say they suck at drafting now - I made of FOOL of YOU!! Ha Ha - I can't believe you fell for it! Ha Ha - I kill me! :death:
  4. This is what a football team looks like when they absolutely suck at drafting for more than a decade and allow their best players to leave in free agency - we have four or five players, maybe less, who would start on a playoff caliber team, and not one single player who is better than the starters on the packers. We have assembled a team of backups - the scary thing is that even a team of backups can win occasionally in the NFL. Lets hope they lose out so they don't do any further harm to their draft position.
  5. Sounds fantastic! Any idea what they're getting for a bottle?
  6. Off as well for a hockey tournament. Hopefully the place doesn't implode while I am gone. Cheers!
  7. The thread containing idiot posts about millenials was locked before I could chime in - not sure if this belongs in Complaint Thursday or F'n Fantastic Friday - I must need my brain re-wired.
  8. If you care about mileage you got the wrong car. See how bad you can make your mileage - you will enjoy the car a lot more.
  9. Svedka is a great bargain vodka, but I have to say discussing vodka in a whisky/ey thread is taboo.
  10. Methinks you may have had a little dickel in your throat at lunch today. Maybe even several little dickels.
  11. I will have to. I have to say that for hunting camp purposes, the 90 proof Dickel was a strong player, a little burn, but classic bourbon characteristics and smooth enough to sip. Drink enough and you sleep right through the farting and snoring in the bunkhouse without waking up 5 times to piss like when you drink all beer. Should you awake, another shot usually eases the process of falling back asleep amidst the din.
  12. Enjoyed a bottle of four roses, Evan Williams and George Dickel at hunting camp. The four roses was obviously the best of the bunch, but the Dickel is a strong contender for entry level bourbon - relatively smooth for 90 proof, and a perfectly acceptable sipping whiskey with or without a beer back. Also enjoyed a glass of Lagavulin 16 year old after dinner Friday Night. very smooth, but had a strong medicinal taste that I couldn't decide whether I liked.
  13. He was probably on his way to the abortion clinic with his 14 year old girlfriend.
  14. Don't count on it. They are mostly short term retail jobs for the holidays. Those people will be unemployed by midjanuary, and can start collecting another three years of unemployment.
  15. I keep hearing that he wouldn't mind a trade to a west coast team...
  16. What do the kids say? Oh, SNAP!
  17. You really need to set your preferences to 40 posts per page - makes navigating much easier. I'm only at page 150. :nana:
  18. We haven't completed the trade for Bobby Ryan yet.
  19. Good. I think Plax deserves to be mocked the rest of his life for being a dumb ass, but the football field isn't the appropriate place to do it. Especially by a guy who is more famous for his drops than his catches.
  20. Are the bills still playing? I thought their season was over. What a frustrating season. I actually believed they might have finally turned the corner for about a week. Turns out we need at least two more years of good drafting and to continue purging all the brokedicks who can't make it through a complete season.
  21. Or bracing for impact. Like x says, taking the motion away also takes the context away. He's sideways because he just played the puckhe stays sideways because he knows he's about to get blown up.
  22. I here what you are saying, but I would bet those are local interpretations by the county, not laws. I know that there is no such legal requirement to approve a family for adoption in NY.
  23. Are you sure this is all accurate or are you presuming? There are so many kids looking for homes that I think they have loosened some of the unwritten rules they used to follow, at least that's the case in NY. I don't know of any state that requires, by law, both parents to be home on a daily basis in order to consider them for adoption. That is certainly not the case in many traditional families. You need to be available for the home study, but that happens around your schedule.
