Isn't there a more appropriate thread you couldhave put this in you dumb ass? :nana:

Two solutions: 1. write something more interesting. 2. If self aggrandizing is really your thing, you might be on the wrong site. Buy a web cam and try one of those pay sites full of single girls (or gents) in your neighborhood. I'm sure those ladies (or gents) will be most complimentary.

Better? Tried to change it last night - deleted old photo - then stupid ipad wouldn't let me upload a new one.

Stop saying that - it offends me!

I lol'd. And thought about starting a new thread to announce it so my post wouldnt get lost amongst all the other responses indicating they lol'd.

Yeah, but we don't need a franchise quarterback. Fitz will do just fine.

Up at 5:45. Out the door at 6:30. Never felt better.

The laphroaig is next. Just realized I was leaving out the a. What a great whiskey. It is the classic Islay. Well balanced peat , not overpowering. Golden straw color. More pervasive peat than the the Caol Ila, and more body. Similar profile to the Caol Ila, but everything is just a little more in your face, but in a good way. A very good whiskey, but you know that it is only 10 years old. Knowing there are 3 or 4 other labels of Laphroaig, you want to try them.

You say that as if it exists. Turkey bacon is like skim milk. You don't drink it because it tastes good, you drink it because you feel like you should. Oscar Mayer is the best of the bunch. Not coincidentally, it has the most fat of the turkey bacons.

Water doesn't seem to help this label. It mutes the peat in the nose and the subtle flavors on the tongue, leaving the alcohol more prevalent. Does release a touch of oil, though. This label is to the Islay family what stainless aged Chardonnay is to the Chardonnay grape.

Damn auto correct on iPad is aggressive. Missed that one. This isn't my first rodeo. on further reflection, the sea salt is in the nose and on the palate. The bottle was in the $50.00 range. Not a bad pour. Will have to try this again with a little water. Very little wood or oil in this one, so it starts to burn the tongue if your tastes are too close together. Going with the laphroig next. Wait till you see my spelling after a few drams of the cask strength Ardberg!

Enough with the beer, the sabres lost again - time for some high test booze!

Caol Ila 12 year old. Light straw color. Peat and alcohol in the nose. Very light bodied islay. The lighter islay flavors are more apparent here. Sea salt and grass. The peat is light, not dense smoke, but very much present. Would be a great intro to the islay scotches, but is a strong character in its own right. Not bad or weak or amateur, just different than the more stereotypical islay.

I'd try it.

The great divide is well made, 7.2%. Citrus and pine in the nose and on the palate, very little hop flower to it. Mildly bitter finish. A nice beer but not the best of the bunch. I like a lot more flower in my IPA's. . I was eyeing up bourbons tonight at the liquor store, too, but I need to do more research before buying. I don't like to grab stuff blindly off the shelf. Elijah Craig was one I had in my hand.

The Breckinridge isn't as good as the weyerbacher. Less flower, slightly more bitter and the alcohol is more forward. The nose isnt as nice. Not a bad beer by any means, but the weyerbacher was really nice.
-
Ice? I always hesitate to add ice. Afraid of losing something in the translation.
-
Cat piss? Didn't get that. The Breckinridge is 9.2!
-
I would say it has some citrus notes. Really a nice beer. The more I drank the more I liked. So much so that it's now gone.
-
I would give it some pine. I'm not as colorful as you guys with my tasting notes. It's very delicious and highly drinkable for 9%.
-
Yeah, the weyerbacher is 9%. It's kind of the point! Cloudy orange cider color, lots of carbonation. Nice flowery nose despite sitting outside all day with a high of 20 degrees. Dry on the palate, very little hop flower on the tongue. Nice bitter finish. You can tell its 9% late. That's all I've got. I'd get it again. These things will fuvk you up.
