RJ is as much a part of the teams history as Perrault, Hasek, LaFontaine, etc... In the old days when we couldn't watch on TV he brought the game to life on my radio. I want the Sabres to win the Stanley Cup as much as anything, and I want RJ to be able to see it happen. He truly deserves his day with that trophy. Kick that cancers ass Rick, you have thousands and thousands of fans rooting for you.

Nice, they give you your monies worth too. Played near 30 songs at close to 2 1/2 hours. Great article. Makes me like him more. I started seeing all the love for him on here and paid more attention to him toward the end of the season. His game is much improved and I love the attitude. I would have no problem putting the C on him. Change direction of the team a bit and give the youth a say.

I feel totally opposite of your opinion on Grigs and Gerbe. Grigs needs to be on a top line next year. Give him ice time, and some players with skill to play with. Make him feel like he is part of the team not a throwaway on the 4th line. If he struggles, so be it. Get the experience against the best. I love Gerbe too, but he is a waste on the 4th line to me. He is a skill player too and needs to play with other skilled players. But I don't think he is good enough for a top line so he should probably not be on the team. I'd give him a run with Ennis and Foligno on the 2nd line and some PP time and see what happens.

This is exactly what I wanted to say. Well put. He is a creative offensive player and we constantly put him out there with the most limited offensive players on the team. Put him out there with Vanek and Hodgson and see what happens. He must be so frustrated with these guidelines. Let him create! I am a bit interested to see if they put him with Ott and Leino since there was a strong buzz about that line in the preseason before Leino got hurt.Next season if the top line stays the same I hope the 2nd line is Ennis, Grigs and Armia. Let the kids play in the top 6. Plus I love the idea of Foligno, Girgensons, and Ott on the third line beating people up.
