  1. We're agreeing here, my response was with regards to Lehner being available for only a 2nd. If Ottawa didn't need to trade Lehner because they had a deal for one of the other two goalies then they could have set the price at the 1st or no deal. TM should have then likely walked away.
  2. It seemed like alot at the time, and while I feel Lehner is a decent goalie he hasn't done enough to warrant the high price. Contract/Free Agency status was a part of his value however. I also can't believe the price was paid because his Uncle was the opposing GM. Ottawa had 3 goalies at the time and had to deal one, perhaps the other two being available leveraged Tim into paying the steep price to make them part with Lehner. Take it or leave it kind of offer.
  3. I think there is a fill in today, perhaps without Peters/Rivet there today they are not airing it?
  4. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/official-nhl-expansion-draft-exempt-list-contains-surprises/ According to this Okposo is the only player required to be protected.
  5. That's my list as well, it doesn't appear there are really any tough choices. Ennis is probably the best player you leave unprotected. Is it confirmed that Bogosian does indeed have to be protected? I thought there was a report that he did not.
  6. I think Kelly is borderline undraftable at this point. Maybe worth a chance in the 6-7th round, but i'm not sure if the added pressure of playing in Buffalo would be good for him.
  7. I can, and I think it is why he is going to have a very hard time finding someone willing to take the job.
  8. I agree, Whaley has to feel pretty confident about it however because a step back next season could be his job.
  9. They drafted Garappolo in the 2nd. If I'm trading him and have a 40 year old starting quarterback I'm getting more than what I paid for him.
  10. It's not too much to expect him to participate and the goal is nice, I'm not sure the tracking is necessary and as a result pressure to donate is applied. For him personally it's probably a spite thing.
  11. It seemed like obvious icing to me, i was confused what Ray's and the crowd's reaction was over and figured something had happened off camera behind the play
  12. Inebriated guys being loud and obnoxious is about all you see now as well, 3 people out of 70,000 is now relevant however due to the internet.
  13. It's not technically stand up, but i enjoy Doug Benson's podcast: Doug Loves Movies. It's a movie trivia show he does live at comedy clubs.
  14. Couple of comics i've been into recently are John Mulaney and Bert Kreischer. Kreischer has a new special on Showtime.
  15. Maybe a little more frequent over the holidays
  16. I think that's right, but I don't know the restrictions for using that space.
  17. On this, how does this work? Does the LTIR designation give them the ability to spend the LTIR credit at any point?
  18. I remember Colton Orr dropping him once. Maybe doesn't fit his definition of clean.
  19. This is the same bone that was broken, not a new injury.
  20. In my opinion your expectations weren't valid. His goal production has been pretty consistent over his career.
  21. I'm guessing the 3 D will be Ristolainen, Bogosian and McCabe. Kulikov will be unsigned and no need to protect. Likley forwards are O'Reilly, Okposo, Kane, Foligno, Girgensons, Larsson and Carrier. Notable signed unprotecteds are Moulson, Ennis, Gorges and Delauriers.
  22. Just for conversations sake the major free agent decisions they'll have for this offseason are Gilmore, Zach Brown, Robert Woods and Lorenzo Alexander. I'm guessing Woods and Gilmore will walk and am hopeful they are able to reach manageable deals with Brown and Alexander.
