I sure hope we can sign him
-
No one is beating Zadorov, Grigorenko and #21 There are few if any teams willing or able to sign him to 7 x 7.5 Maybe toronto but they are far behind us in the rebuild.
-
I'm not giving up Zemgus
-
There have been issues with both of these players. Grigs is refusing to play in AHL and threatening KHL. He is refusing to sign a two way contract. Zadorov refused to go back to Juniors last year.
-
6 foot 1 195 lbs isn't small. We may have to throw in #21
-
Avs need a left shooting defensemen. I think Zadorov will be moved. My prediction Zadorov and Grigorenko for ROR and Pickard GMTM also rids himself of the Russians and their issues
-
He may be fine, I also wonder if he is older than what GMTM is looking for.

Here's an article on the injury and his recovery. http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/04/23/new-york-islanders-kyle-okposo-recovering-his-game-after-scary-eye-injury-detached-retina

I highly doubt it is fine. Players always tend to understate the effects of injuries. I know he returned to play, but I don't know that he has been playing at the same level. I suspect Garth Snow is aware of his limitations and does not want to sign him to an extension.
-
I don't want him. He has seriously impaired vision and is essentially monocular. This is a huge impairment for a professional athlete where hand-eye coordination is paramount. I doubt he will ever be the same player he was.
-
NFW are the sabres trading Risto or Bogo. Zadorov or Pysyk are possibliities. Bogo has a big contract so that is undesirable for the Avs.
-
There is NFW that either Risto or Girgensons gets moved for ROR. some combination of Zadorov, Foligno, Grigorenko and possibly picks and or prospects will do it. The market for ROR will not be that big due to his high salary demands.
-
ROR controls everything. There are very few teams that will ante up for 7 years 49 million dollar extension in a location he prefers. This will greatly limit the return Colorado can get. I think he can be traded for after the draft with an agreed upon extension for a reasonable deal.

Mr moderator nfreeman, Apparently you think that an injured player who only scored 10 goals and 22 points this year and was a disruptive influence in the locker room is worth far more than the proposed offer. I beg to differ. Winnipeg needs to make the playoffs this year and they desperately need forwards. They also have tremendous difficulty attracting free agents. Even though Stafford and Stewart are rentals they would be very helpful for the playoff run. In addition this increases the likelyhood of them resigning with the Jets. Hodgson has not had a good year, but his previous year scoring was quite comparable to Kane and he is signed long term. Foligno brings size and toughness and is also under contract. 2 second round picks with the sabres being the first pick of the second round is nothing to sneeze at. I am willing to bet a steak dinner at Peter Lugers that the ultimate package that Kane gets traded for is substantially less than what I proposed. What say you?
-
Moulson has a ntc so there is no way he gets moved. I think 2 second round picks 2015. And Hodgson foligno stewart and stafford gets it done with us retaining salary and taking a cap dump back

As a fellow Atlanta resident and Thrashers fan, I couldn't agree more. Good ownership is essential to success. Had Arthur Blank owned the thrashers, they would still be in atlanta.

I'm glad GMTM is asking for the moon, because I don't want to trade Myers and I don't think he does either. He has enough to deal with trying to move the previous ly referenced players.
-
Sabres aren't trading Myers. We are not getting McEichel. I know I am bursting your balloon. This thread should be restricted to discussions that have a realistic chance of happening.. The following players have a decent chance of being moved. Stewart Stafford Enroth or Neuwirth Benoit Mezzaros Hodgson Foligno
-
I think you are overrating Eberle's value. He has a large contract that is undesirable. He is a soft one way winger with poor defensive skills. I don't know that Murray really wants him. I think Pysyck, Enroth and a #1 pick (st Louis) gets it done. Pysyck is a hometown boy there and I think Edmonton would do the deal.
-
Hodgson is the same player as Gagner. Edmonton finally got rid of him. Why would they want Hodgson ?

Centers - What the Sabres think all Wingers can play
freester replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Ville Leno did well moving to center :wallbash: -
If the sabres don't get McEichel, I don't know how they are going to get top line players. Currently the only player on the roster that is potential top line is Reinhart and he is completely unproven.
-
And most of all Chris Stewart who will get 25 goals if healthy

Prediction time: Which player will take the biggest step up in 2014-15?
freester replied to nfreeman's topic in The Aud Club
I think Stewart is going to have a big year. He will surprise a lot of people. Nolan is high on him and he plays with a decent center he could get some points. He is also in a contract year.
