I’m not optimistic even assuming we resign Skinner. I expect Dahlin, Mitts and Montour to improve and Pominville to be gone. I don’t see us competing for a playoff spot.

A lot has been added Dahlin, Bogo Mitts McCabe playing most of season. Botts has been atrocious and will grossly overpay Skinner now to save his job.

Bots is responsible for this soft cupcake team. Getting rid of Kane was just as bad as getting rid of ROR and hirin Housley

Why would Skinner want to sign up for 8 more years of this? He could go to a contender. He should at least wait and see what his options are in free agency. He’s never been to the playoffs and god knows this franchise isn’t getting there any time soon.

He proposed such great trades that were always in the Sabres favor and even when the Sabres made a terrible trade Like the ROR trade he made the return sound like a collection of current and future superstars. His unbridled optimism is sorely missed.

I think the losing may have gotten to him. He had such faith in Murray and Botterill to make great trades and transform the team into a contender. His column seems to have disappeared from hockey buzz.

I have zero confidence in Botts ability to build a winner. The ROR trade will go down as one of tf the worst trades in Sabre’s history.

Bots got rid of Kane a tough goal scoring power forward. Boy we could use a guy like that. A physical presence. His contract will look like peanuts compared to Skinners contract.

The Sabres could easily force his hand into choosing LTIR by sending him down to the minors like they did with Moulson. Given the choice of the getting concussed in the ECHL or being at home with the family and not having any risk of injury he would choose LTIR. I suspect something like this transpires this offseason especially if we need the cap space for a big free agent signing.

I have a lot of experience with the admissions process and am currently going through it for the second time. My eldest is at Michigan. Is your child a huge sports fan? If so than Rochester may not be the ideal choice. A few of my friends had kids who were sports fans who regretted not going to schools with college sports. Florida is a great school and very difficult to get into congrats on that. My daughter got rejected by Florida Where else are you waiting to hear from?

I'm going on the record as saying that trading Risto will be another terrible Botteril move like trading ROR and Kane. While Risto is not a Norris defensemen he is a solid right handed second pair physical guy. we have no one to replace him with. Bogo will clearly not be resigned when his contract is up.

If I’m the Pegulas, I have to wonder why JB got rid of 2 great players in ROR and Kane and got little in return. Moves like those do not inspire confidence especially with a terrible coaching hire and 2 terrible seasons now. Obviously JB needs more time but his seat is getting warmer.

People love to argue whether the tank works or not. The arguments here and war are endless.

The best part of all the losing is listening to Mike Shoope talk about tanking. So here we go again. The tank is officially on.
