I hate Botteril so much that I would rather have Peter Chiarelli

TM wasn’t given enough time. Jack and Sam were rookies and not nearly the players they are today. Kane, Risto and ROR were also young. JB has/had these players at the peak of their careers and yet has failed.

Do you trust Botteril to handle the offseason? I don’t.

I’m sorry. I can’t stomach another year of Botteril. This offseason is critical. Botteril has already set the franchise back 5 years. If he hands out more bad long term contracts we could be doomed for many years to come.

No I hate losing as much as you. Long term there will be no success as long as JBOT is here. Losing out gets rid of Botteril and hopefully brings in a supreme talent for the future. This season is lost.

Of course not, but if that suffering is necessary to get JBOT fired than I’m praying for it.

If we lose out the Pegulas would feel a lot of pressure to make a change. 20 straight losses would be brutal. JBOT might not make it to the end of the season.

Good news. If we lose out the rest of the season we can still qualify for a prime lottery spot. Only Detroit is uncatchable. Botteril will definitely be fired. We can also move Skinner to play with Jack since VO is injured again and move Sam away from Jack. Sam will thus stop scoring and this will result in a lesser contract for next year. There is hope Sabres fans.

We’re not trading Reinhart. It will be a defensemen or 2 Of McCabe, Montour, Risto,Miller, or even Joker if necessary plus a high draft pick and Mitts Here’s a nice fantasy: Auston Matthews for Risto and Montour and Mitts and 2020 1st round pick.

Only Botteril would think a 3rd line LW could play 2nd line Center. The results speak for themselves.

plus Frolik has a huge cap number. How is Botteril still the GM?

Nonsense, Trotz was available for us to hire but the incompetent JB chose to stay with Housley who had no idea what he was doing.

Botteril does not understand positional value. Centers and Goalies are the most important positions and he has done a terrible job of addressing those spots. He loves wingers which are the least important position.

and Chayka has had the worst ownership in the league with limited financial resources and a team that spends closer to the floor than the cap while Botts is over the cap.

I thought the whole reason they overpaid for Frolik was that he was a great penalty killer. Guess tha was another bad Botteril decision.

Skinners contract should have been comparable to what Kreider just got form the Rangers ( 7 years 46 million). I think Kreider is a better all around player. Instead Botts grossly overpaid and now we are stuck for years. I'm not sure what 2nd line Center we will have that can get Skinner going. I like Ralph, he is one of Botts best moves, but Idk what's going to happen with Skinner.

Mojo is a 3rd line winger that we play as a 2nd line C. Botteril does not deserve credit for VO. Your continued defense of Botterils incompetence amazes me. Is he a relative? I'm sure you will rationalize another offseason of terrible personnel moves. There is no defense for such a mediocre team to be over the cap. He has managed the cap poorly in addition to all the rest of his errors. Managing the salary cap was supposedly his are of expertise when he was hired. I know you like to blame TM for all that ails the Sabres.

And the one he acquired is now grossly overpaid and frankly mediocre, while the 2 he got rid of continue to be excellent players at reasonable contracts.
