That’s a good trade proposal. I’m not sure what I would do. We have to trade either Risto or Montour since we will lose one in the expansion draft. I would rather trade next years first and Montour for Cirelli but doubt Tampa agrees.
-
That is the worst idea I’ve heard. Keep the pick and draft Holtz . Georgiev can be acquired for some lesser asset.
-
We will probably get stuck with one of the defensemen or Askarov
-
Unbelievable screwed again
-
I wish we were as good as Edmonton
-
its about the only real sabres news we will have for a long time
-
Like all HOFs championships matter. Kevin Lowe would not have gotten in playing on the Sabres.

Stupid Published trade Rumors/Proposals Involving the Sabres

Kappanen is a RW and the best player of the 3. He has speed which we are sorely lacking. Both Kerfoot and Johannson are signed at 3.5 million for a few years. I suspect Toronto would want to unload one of their salaries. -

Toronto’s players are both 3rd liners. We need a 2RW as well as C. This is obviously an atrocious trade for Sabres. I think trading Montour for Kapanen with a small add from us is more likely -

Botteril was truly the worst GM in the NHL and easily the worst in Sabres history. I am so happy he’s gone. -
Do not trade Sam but rather sign him to a long term extension at reasonable money. Trade Risto and/or Montour to get Kapanen and a 2C. We will obviously need to add. (2 separate trades) resign Larsson and Girgensons for cheap. Keep GLO line intact. Mitts stays in Rochester for a long time until he dominates Do not trade 2020 first round pick
-
I disagree. Not until the economy of the NHL and the oil markets improves.

Sabres Announce GM Jason Botterill has been Fired. Kevyn Adams Named GM
freester replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Meanwhile Edmonton is much improved as they have hired a competent experienced GM and Buffalo continues its path of futility. It has nothing to do with the tank. If you hire competent GMs good things happen. We have 4 incompetent hires in a row. 4 executives who were first timers. Lafontaine, Murray, Botteril, and Adams. This is the recipe for failure. -

High end quantity. Chabot, Tkachuk, Pageau, Duclair, Brown. top prospects Brannstrom and Batherson. 2 picks in top 9 this year. While none of these have the potential of Eichel or Dahlin, they are a much deeper team that is poised to have success in the future. -

The Senators will have have much better talent than us after this year’s draft -
I just can’t see Jack being happy with another total novice with no GM experience being named GM
-
At least the Stock market is taking the news of Botterils firing well.

I guarantee that Adams is the lowest paid GM in the NHL. This is another move that smacks of cheapness. -

Firing Jbot is obviously a great move, but not hiring an experienced GM is another critical error by the Pegulas. -

I heard Botteril wanted to sign Wayne Simmonds to 5 year 25 million and Pegulas balked. -

I just spooged. -
One of my liberal friends who attended a bunch of protests was just diagnosed with Covid. Prior to the protests he worked from home and was very good about social distancing. Scary.

Number of cases is not that helpful a statistic. . It is the percentage of positive cases that is more useful. Also death rate and number of hospitalizations are helpful in tracking progress.

Official Lawrence Pilut Signs 2 Year Deal for the KHL

This is just further evidence of JBot’s total and complete incompetence. You should never lose a high quality asset for nothing. -
If Atlanta, a much larger and more affluent city, can lose a team twice , Buffalo could easily lose a team. We all need to be very thankful for the Pegulas and their desire to keep the teams in Buffalo.
