That was 30 years ago. Times have changed at some schools. Michigan has only taken a few JUCO transfers in. its history. There is a huge difference in admission standards for recruited athletes between Michigan and Ohio State.

Failing to improve the goaltending is a critical mistake. Also not addressing the imbalance of RD vs LD is highly problematic. Another huge issue is the division reallignment has placed the sabres in a very compeitive situation.

Making the playoffs with no fans in the stands is not going to close the gap.

Whether you want to hear owners complains is irrelevant. The system is not currently viable based on a 50/50 partnership with the players. Labor strife will happen next year unless some massive TV deal is done to account for the owners huge losses. With playoff TV ratings among the lowest ever I'm not sure a super lucrative TV deal is on the table.

Brian Burke on the Hockey Central podcast said the Forbes article way overvalued the franchise values. He said the money problems are real and the current deal with the players is not sustainable. The players will be owing the owners over a billion dollars by the end of next year. Apparently the Pegulas stand to lose 60 million dollars this year and according to Paul Hamilton and they were some of the owners that were against playing this year on the current CBA

I don't think you have any knowledge of the Michigan program at all. This has been a recurring problem with numerous top recruits not being approved by the admissions office.

Michigan has much higher academic standards than UNC for athletes. I think that is part of Harbaughs frustration with the administration.

You are clueless to say Harbaugh is a bad coach. He led 2 teams to NFC championship game and had success at Stanford and San Diego state. Michigan is not going to compete with Ohio State, Alabama and Clemson. Michigan has much higher admission standards and will not admit criminals and illiterates. I’m bummed that both my teams Northwestern and Michigan had their games canceled. IU loses its QB with a torn ACL and now the Big 10 is changing its rules to allow Ohio State to play in BIG championship game so they can make the playoffs. I hate Ohio State.

I don’t think Mitts has any chance of making Sabres initially. The issue is if there is no AHL season where does he play? I’m not sure what options there are but sitting in the press box for the Sabres is not good for his development.
