4 goals aside, Miller was stellar with the game on the line.
-
We need to trade one of our forward prospects for a no. 5/6 d-man. Only problem is we still may have to cut someone that way, this team is still too thin on D.
-
Pominville with the empty netter. Miller was UNREAL for the last 5 minutes. Big-game goalie material all the way! Add to that another empty netter. This time from Paille.
-
5-4. Raycroft with a Marty-assist!!
-
4-4...... And of course it was Tucker.
-
If they lose, yes. Let's hope he won't have to beat himself up over it in 20 minutes. Completely agree. Plus, players are so much stronger these days, and thus inflict more damage when someone takes a head shot.
-
He tried to clear a rebound from in front, which just appeared to bounce away from him. I think he should've taken a swipe at it rather than try to get it under control, but hindsight is 20/20.
-
No I agree, but this is not the new NHL, this is just plain #%^$#! officiating, and they had to boot in the old NHL as well.

Own goal by Ryan. Damn
-
Spacek is back on the ice, thank god. Though it still might mean his ancle is broken to pieces, the way these injuries seem to work out for us. Another pisspoor penalty on Briere. Miller is the breakaway king. Nice spin move by Campbell draws a tripping.
-
Sorry, can't agree with you. I love the fact that The Cryers suck, way too much :-)
-
Damn, and here goes Spacek. Slapper off the ancle. WHAT A PLAY BY VANEK!! Briere 3-2 on the PP! 4-2!! Campbell walking in. Leafs fell asleep after thr 2-0 goal. Loving it!!

You'd think we wre playing in Toronto with BS calls like the one on Mair, what a friggin' joke.
-
Another BUF penalty, Paetsch this time. Paille's weak clearance put him in trouble. Peatsch needs to let go of his stick, he didn't even try. He knows it's a penalty if he doesn't drop it immediately. What a complete BS call on Mair!!!

Sabres took four lazy penalties in a row, and Toronto scored on both 5 on 3's.
-
2-2, GREAT hustle by Gaustad on that play.
-
Ok, at least it's 2-1 now and still on the PP.
-
Max you idiot, nice way to lose the puck standing still while stickhandling. And very nice to see Gill get away with that hook.
-
Probably four of the laziest, most dumbass Zhitnik like penalties I think I ever saw.
-
Yup, and they can thank 4 moronic pentalties for it.
-
Hmm... Not the start start I'd hoped for. The guys definitely need to get it together now!

What good is the best PP shot in the league when he doesn't use it, or fires it wide? Kotalik has not been the player he was last season, why I have no idea. In fact, I think he's been off his game since March, cause he didn't have much of a playoff either, especially on the PP. I remember thinking he might be hurt, since we never saw that booming one-timer go off in the post season, but this far he just hasn't gotten it done. He started out hustling, but has been struggling to find his offensive touch so far. That said, I'd be worried if everyone peaked early, Al has plenty of time to come around.

I don't think anyone expected them them to go 82-0, but tonight they just didn't bother showing up. Now, I'm relatively ok with that fiven the current record and time of the season, but I'd still like to see them play 60 minutes of hockey just once this year. You know, just to see if they're capable, cause they haven't been so far. Anyway, tonight was 2003-2004 revisited. I guess we were due.

Minor gripe : As long as he's up here, why not at least give him 7 minutes a night? We have the luxury right now of having a ton of points, so why not at least give him some experience, and maybe give Campbell 27 minutes instead of 30? I have to say, I'm a bit worried with our 7-man deep D, and wearing the guys out early by effectively only playing 5 d-men this early in the season. Biron : Had a very strong game, and some very nice saves. Looked a little surprised on the first goal, but it's a 3-1 goal, and not a tying or winning goal. Not like Miller hasn't allowed a bundle of those too. He was solid, and gave his team a chance to win on a night where the offense "only" managed 3, not counting the ENG. That's all you can ask of him, and he delivered. Nice one.

I remember that season, and you're right. However I also remember that he started out pretty well that year, with better numbers than Hasek for October, and then tailed off as the season progressed, along with the rest of the team. Nobody was having a good year. It does seems like a an atypical season for Marty though, as he's usually been a slow starter, and turned it on late in the season when we were either out of it, or fighting to catch the 8th seed. I think it was an atypical season for the mental aspect of his game as well. Doesn't matter now though, we're talking 2006, Marty's starting, he needs to be solid, the PP needs to click, and the team needs to win. GO SABRES!!
