  1. Going from bad to worse. Our offense is non-existent, which isn't that strange seeing as we usually only have control of the puck in the offensive zone, some 5 seconds at a time. Impressive.
  2. Took the liberty of adding this.
  3. Ray just blasted them for not showing any emotion, or even looking upset at the result.
  4. I honestly think I have a harder one-timer than Weber.
  5. Tick tock, Darcy.
  6. That scares me quite a bit too.
  7. That has to be the silver lining in all of this - Darcy getting the boot in the off-season.
  8. Booed off the ice again boys, impressive....
  9. Same old, same ######.
  10. Did we have ANY zone time at all, besides the two PP's?
  11. God, I'm sick of seeing Drew Stafford dig for a puck in his own zone, only to see the oppositions come away with it.......
  12. That's a big-ass, kinda nasty looking kitty right there....!!
  13. Weasel? No idea, but I do know that he doesn't know how to build a hockey team, and that he overpays grossly for the wrong players. I wasn't a Ruff fan, as I felt his message got old years ago, but Regier built a team that would never succeed, so to pin it all on the coach would be wrong. Status Quo - One down, one to go.
  14. I get that exact feeling. That said though, I think this is the first piece to a larger puzzle. That fact that Rolston is only appointed as an interim coach make it easier for Pegula and Black to dismiss him in the off-season, but as some analysts also pointed out that it's a way of putting Regier on notice that he's next, unless things change, by not allowing him to hire a bonafide replacement for Lindy. Teams hire interim coaches all the time, so it's a nice and easy way of disgusing any plans to let the GM go, to the public. Also, it appears quite clear that letting Lindy go was not Regiers decision. So not only did Black and Pegula fire his coach, they also denied him the possibility of appointing a new one, in case things remain broken and they have to fire him in the off-season.
  15. I agree, the Sabres need players who have both heart and skill. All-heart and all-skill rarely gets it done in the end.
  16. Several years overdue, but better late than never. Not expecting a quick turnaround though, the problems this franchise have run deep, but you have to start somewhere. Now, if only Darcy would get canned too.
  17. Oh believe me, I think Darcy needs to go before Ruff, and I've wanted Ruff gone for years. Maybe, but Darcy probably wouldn't know how to draft either, and if he did, what's to stop Ruff from trying to turn them all into Curtis Brown v 2.0?

    19-9-2

Yeah, especially since it'll likely be the same story next season.
  19. Found myself laughing out loud at the first goal - Watched the game with a buddy, and the second they lost the puck behind the net, I blurted out loud "back to the point, scores". Same old, same old.
  20. I get the feeling some Sabre fans have a tendency to think other teams very average goalies are better than Miller, due to the fact that the Sabres routinely make them look that way. That said, yes Miller is streaky - Probably always will be, but he's a goalie who steals games when he's on. IMHO, this team has bigger problems to address.
  21. Truth be told though, that's as little a fact as saying it will help. Fact is, neither of us know for sure, but some of us are willing to take a chance on change, at this point. Yes, we might end up sucking for another 10 years, who knows? Obviously though, Regier is as much responsbile for this mess as anyone else, as I whole-heatedly agree this is not a good roster.
  22. Ability, lack of ability - In this case it's all potato, potato. What he does isn't working, and something needs to change.
  23. As Ruff seemingly is never going away, that's probably a quick way to end a career. The way that man is allowed to run this team into the ground unopposed, I definitely understand why people keep their mouths shut about his lack of ability.
  24. On a team starved for secondary scoring too. I agree, it truly seems like he's lost his marbles.
  25. That was kind of my point in my first post - That the 5 man down low defense kills any transition game.
