A little Defense would go a long way too.

Nice glove by Ullmark, I'm sure he appreciates his D up on three breakouts straight.

TBN piece on sagging attendance, enthusiasm in arena
Kristian replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
I knew *of* the Sabres, but really only got into them in 1992-1993, the LaFontaine/Mogilny season. -

Several times over the years. Never made much of a big deal of it though, so I'm sure lots of people missed it :flirt: -

Dan Bylsma new Sabres head coach (now official!)
Kristian replied to spndnchz's topic in The Aud Club
So in other words, business as usual? Lindy was a line juggler too, and line-juggling in genereal really gets on my nerves, so yeah - Not a Bylsma fan here. -

Same thing here, albeit on a smaller scale - You have guys thumping drums and chanting, no matter how the home team is doing. -
All Golisano did was open his wallet, and watch as Darcy lucked into two years of no-touch hockey. The second the game reverted to what it used to be, Darcy was as clueless as ever, and Golidano wasn't interested enough in the franchise to care about anything other than what he could sell it off for. At least the Pegula's *seem* emotionally invested in the franchise, something Golisano never was.

Caught the game delayed on NHL Center Ice half an hour ago, was ready to turn it off after 7 mins into the 3rd, but DAMN - What a 3rd period! Only sad Rick didn't make the trip to call the game.
-
Darcy's "core" consisted almost entirely of "non-Lindy Ruff" players. Meaning, none of them were terribly hardworking, or focused on playing well without the puck, and around their own net. That mess was on Darcy, 100% - Too bad the coach is usually the first to go, in those cases.

I just need to add : I was absolutely blown away, felt like I was 11 years old again for two hours. It'll never win an oscar, but I couldn't care less :w00t: -
Sabres goalies both have better GAA and SV% than Ryan Miller
Kristian replied to matter2003's topic in The Aud Club
Now tell us how you really feel? Yeah, Miller wasn't the second coming of Dominik Hasek, but he was hardly the most overrated goalie of all time, either. He was an above average goalie, capable on going on extended hotstreaks, but I never thought he was worth that ridiculous contract they gave him. -
Thank the lord, they sent him down last season.

Not liking Bylsma's matchups.

That came out of nothing too, nice one.

And Weber looking like an idiot too.

I'll probably put some money on a 4-3 Sabres loss. And I'll take that any day, over the crap I've been fed these past 5 years.

GDT: Carolina at Buffalo. 7:00pm EST 11/27/2015
Kristian replied to woods-racer's topic in The Aud Club
Well, that would make sense, but what I saw last night was the Canes having us run around, we'd get the puck, fumble it, lose it immediately, then do the whole running around thing again. Absolutely infuriating to watch, and against a team that's not the Canes? Probably a certain L. -

One thing that stuck out for me tonight : We were running around in our own zone A LOT - Lots of times we got hold of the puck, only to lose it again right away. Very Sabres-of-old-like. -
More than 70% of the refugee stream coming to Scandinavia these days, are young men - Not many women and children amongst them, even though the media like to pain a different picture. Also, again more than half of these people are not Syrians. Syrian passports are a hot commodity on the black market, after Merkel announced that all Syrians would be granted asylum in Germany. A lot of these people don't speak arabic, so how can they be Syrians? Just saying, things are by no means black and white, in this case.

Hey dude, thanks for the insights. On a sidenote, my daughter goes to school with Morten Green's daughter, don't know if you remember him? Played a few seasons with MODO in the early 2000's.

Which is a very good point. People mock the blue puck today, but back in the day, watching hockey on TV in non-HD, everyone lost sight of the puck once in a while. It wasn't bad enough for me to wish for something like the FOX solution, though. I've been watching hockey my whole life, and I still lose track of the puck in HD, but mostly because the camera guy does, and has the camera track where *he* thinks the puck is at.
