  1. You're here to approve of alt-right content, to disapprove of any political (sometimes it's not even political, but you see it that way) content that isn't alt-right, and to do little else. You had the ability to be so much greater. EDIT: You still HAVE the ability to be so much greater. Please exercise it.
  2. I'm not quoting all of it because I know some people read on phones, and even on my laptop, it takes forever for pages to load. But what you wrote was beautiful, and I am thankful to have read it. Sorry, @Weave I'm leaving my post here. It might as well be the off-season, after all.
  3. Only the second last, me son.
  4. It was the 100th anniversary of the Kaiser blocking it.
  5. I beat @Brawndo to an injury update and it's like parachute jumping for the first time or something.
  6. I agree that there's no way he reasonably could have perceived himself to be in danger, but Texas is not (IMO) exactly an advanced society and I do not expect its laws to be rational.
  7. Mostly to annoy the rest of you, but partially because the Sabres are my favorite team in my favorite sport.
  8. In New York, sure.
  9. Oh, please know that I'm not coming at you. I just don't see how the guy reasonably could feel threatened there. I've never quite understood the stand-your-ground stuff in general, though.
  10. How did he feel threatened? He's on higher ground (literally not morally) and the kid's girlfriend is trying to hold the kid back. I suspect he felt more insulted by being called a dumbass, than threatened. Looks like no one was seriously hurt, which is good, but the better response to someone acting like that is to get the usher.
  11. I need to know how she is doing this. I need to get my phone company to fight my doctor's office, and my bank to fight my insurance company, and all of it. It would just be so satisfying. And @Wyldnwoody44, medical offices are absolutely the worst with this.
  12. This is reasonable and it's not overstepping. And 21 isn't a child subject to helicopter parenting anyway, or at least shouldn't be. My parents have done many things, well into my adult life, to help me when I've needed it--and I for them. That's just being family.
  13. If that's what you get from him, I definitely understand your position.
  14. His cap hit is reasonable through 24-25, he is at a needed position, and like @Weave always says, fans tend to overvalue draft picks. Most years, if a pick is not in the top 5-10, it's pretty hit or miss. I think it's a heavy price, but I don't think it's out of this world, especially if the team trading for him can spread out the picks (2023 and 2025 or 2024 and 2026 instead of consecutive years). I'm not sure I'd want the Sabres to do it, but I don't think it's crazy.
  15. What about Gaustad?
  16. From what I'm reading elsewhere, the ask is two firsts and a solid prospect, so I'm not sure the price is dropping. And they have almost a month.
  17. Leprosy.
  18. Another thing we say every year.
  19. Some of this is ridiculous and probably illegal. There are under-23s who legit travel for business (or vacation) and need places to stay. NYS finally fixed the car rental thing, and GOLF CARTS? Andrew Brunette is not under 21. My closest friends had children by age 23, for crying out loud. It's just insane how we are making everyone under 30 wear helmets for every freaking thing.
  20. We were doing archery in gym class at age 8.
  21. Every year.
  22. Ugh I forgot about the early start and scheduled a hatchet-throwing session. Oh well.
