  1. Evaluation is the right word, I think. And I'm not happy that they're not using this time to evaluate him. At least we can agree on the vocabulary?
  2. Comrie isn't developing. He's an unknown. And the Sabres aren't making the playoffs this year. If the November losing streak didn't make that clear, the last couple of weeks should have.
  3. If only there were a way to short or sell sports bets. My favorite orphanage would be in a mansion on Delaware Ave.
  4. I'd like to see Comrie spelling UPL too. He's the one we need to learn about. We know Anderson.
  5. I don't see myself staying up for the third in this one, so better be 6-0 Sabs by the end of two.
  6. Count on it being 10+ if you know anything about bookmakers.
  7. Aren't they near top of the league with a lead after 2?
  8. ***** Boston.
  9. Singletary and Shakir are replacement-level if not below. And I LIKE Singletary. So are the rest of the RBs and WRs not named Diggs. Cook is better at catching passes than Singletary, if you need the check down guy. They do need a slot receiver, since Beasley is old and batshit crazy. Keep Hines for KR. McKenzie's 2-yard end-around to greatness yesterday is about as good as it'll get with him. Now, here's where everyone will hate me: I'm kind of glad that they're out. This team wasn't going to win it; at best, it was going to lose to the only NFC East team it hadn't lost a SB to. I like Bills games because they are social events where I'm cheering for the same thing that other people are cheering for. It's the same reason I like craps if I'm in a casino (that is a rare event); everyone is rooting together. I don't love NFL football, I would greatly prefer the Sabres winning a Cup to the Bills winning a SB. I very rarely watch the NFL if the Bills aren't playing--and that includes the last few SBs. It's boring. I doubt I'll watch next weekend, and I might turn part of the SB on. So I've got my Sunday afternoons back, I had enough fun cheering along other Bills fans this year, and GO SABRES!!!!!
  10. I don't think McDermott is the problem, but I do have to blame him somewhat for the timidity in the playoffs that we've seen. A "go for it" in Week 5 should also be a "go for it" in the divisional round. Mostly, I put this on Frazier; as above, I think he chickens out and plays it safe in the playoffs when his normally aggressive defense would succeed. But some of it comes from the higher layer on the org chart. I saw some timidity on offense yesterday (and last week), too, and that is on a rookie OC, but also on McD. I'd like to see improvement there. I think most of you know that I am loath to fire good head coaches, and so I'd keep McD. But the coordinators? One should go and the other had better learn fast. Solid theology.
  11. Well, the nice thing is that the Cowboys' absurd final play has most of the country talking about them, not Buffalo.
  12. Don't care about Dorsey. Gabe Davis, a sub-par WR2, is the most replaceable player on the roster other than the sub-par RB1, RB2, and RB3.
  13. It was just a joke, like we're all in recovery and you're ahead of us, is all.
  14. OOOOH everyone look at the guy who's already on Step Five over here!
  15. OK relax. Poyer (I will miss him) and three running backs who suck won't be back next year. Gabe Davis has proven himself to be replaceable by several members of this board, and Dion Dawkins can be traded for an actual turnstile from Soldier Field. Beasley should cost about $2.49 if he comes back. The cap will be manageable. Just screwing around
  16. Good heavens, are you still trying to win?
  17. And that's it! He's great against the Ravens or whatever in the regular season. He gets scared in the playoffs and needs to go.
  18. Ya think?
  19. It's amazing, but the Canucks just found a way to out-*****up the Sabres.
  20. These are not incompatible. Frazier's defense couldn't take care of an offensive line that was 60% backups, just like it couldn't take care of a third-string QB last week. Dorsey's offense couldn't protect Allen, couldn't establish the run (and I do NOT want to hear about field conditions when girl-beater Mixon was able to run all over the place), and couldn't catch passes.
  21. Let’s not compound the problem. payton? Sure.
  22. 2 1 3. Taylor has the best receivers in the league and girl-beater Mixon. He is not great.
  23. What do they need to free up Knox for? To make gelatin? Because he's pretty useless as a blocker and not much better with his catching unless he just happens to be in an end zone. He certainly doesn't help the team get NEAR said end zone.
  24. He still won't be here in two years, and, in my mind, after this coming summer. They have a LOT of salaries to pay.
  25. The entire pregame, and most of the first two minutes, CBS personnel were publicly wondering why Leslie Frazier doesn't get a shot at HC jobs. He quickly showed (AGAIN) why. A zone defense against a girl-beater like Joe Mixon DOES. NOT. WORK. It took him more than a quarter to figure that out, and even then, he would go back to his stupid 4-2-5 zone many times. I hope he is hired as a head coach somewhere. Just get him away from here. Ken Dorsey wasn't much better, but at least he's a rookie. Why are the Bills doing run-run-pass-punt when Josh freaking Allen is the quarterback?! In what world is that a good strategy even starting at 0-0, much less down 14? The Bills are missing a key pass rusher in Von Miller. The Bengals were missing THREE OL starters and a fourth (the freaking center, of all people) was injured early. Sacks? Getting to the RB behind the line? NOTHING. I want Frazier gone. This team is too talented to be wasted on bad coaches.
