  1. VERY good point. Another good point. For NYCers who want to watch the Knicks and whatever else MSG covers, it might make sense, but Weave's got that down above.
  2. I pay for one monthly service at a time. This month it's Hulu/ESPN+ for $10, and believe me, it requires the NHL to be worth $10 (Hulu is crap--it has M*A*S*H, Cheers, and little else). Next month it will be Apple+ if the new Ted Lasso is out. I probably would pay $300/yr for MSG, but that is kind of a lot. There would have to be absolutely no blackouts--not for ESPN+, not for TNT, etc., and I doubt they're going to pull that off.
  3. Ah, got it now...
  4. Columbus got LA's first round pick in return for taking him. Quick may or may not retire but his contract is up. Ok I misunderstood two of you then--sorry! (But you did quote a tweet about quick)
  5. Oh ok!
  6. LA had to give up a first to get Columbus to take him. Even with the Sabres' goaltending situation, I would hesitate to give up a first round pick in ANY year for a 37 year old struggling (.876 SV%?!) goalie with a month left on his contract. The Sabres need goaltending; Quick is not the answer.
  7. The trade deadline is in two days and they're talking about Gabe Davis. Not Leslie Frazier--that would be understandable--Gabe Davis.
  8. Judging from the McCabe deal, no, although the picks in that deal are delayed by two years or more.
  9. I have disputed this since the day the deal was done, but this isn't the time or place, I suppose. Still, as you note, there's no reason for Arizona to hurry.
  10. They don't have to trade him, and if they're not going to get fair value for him, they shouldn't (just like the Sabres should have said FU to the league and to Hall a few years ago).
  11. And without the Sabres' best player. There's a chance Dahlin could play Thursday. Anderson tonight made no sense.
  12. He just doesn't get it. He doesn't know when to replace a struggling goalie and he doesn't know when to pull one late in a game. It's like he pencils in the lineup for each game, but for G he uses a Sharpie.
  13. I only was able to watch from the beginning of the second, and it looked to me like they didn't show up until 5 mins into the third. Gotta agree w/ you.
  14. Granato really doesn't know when to pull a goalie, does he?
  15. You ARE the wet blanket. What are you talking about?
  16. I'm all for riding a struggling opposing goalie, but chanting "Elvis" at him after this performance (so far) just seems cheap.
  17. Maybe 5 minutes. Now I've refreshed--but I missed the goal in the process.
  18. My ESPN + must be behind by two minutes or more.
  19. This deadline is freaking crazy. There are about four teams blowing everything they have for the next several years. And then there's Washington, which is all schizo.
  20. Toronto, Boston, and Rangers are loading up on heavy artillery and Carolina just got a pop gun.
