  1. Judging from the McCabe deal, no, although the picks in that deal are delayed by two years or more.
  2. I have disputed this since the day the deal was done, but this isn't the time or place, I suppose. Still, as you note, there's no reason for Arizona to hurry.
  3. They don't have to trade him, and if they're not going to get fair value for him, they shouldn't (just like the Sabres should have said FU to the league and to Hall a few years ago).
  4. And without the Sabres' best player. There's a chance Dahlin could play Thursday. Anderson tonight made no sense.
  5. He just doesn't get it. He doesn't know when to replace a struggling goalie and he doesn't know when to pull one late in a game. It's like he pencils in the lineup for each game, but for G he uses a Sharpie.
  6. I only was able to watch from the beginning of the second, and it looked to me like they didn't show up until 5 mins into the third. Gotta agree w/ you.
  7. Granato really doesn't know when to pull a goalie, does he?
  8. You ARE the wet blanket. What are you talking about?
  9. I'm all for riding a struggling opposing goalie, but chanting "Elvis" at him after this performance (so far) just seems cheap.
  10. Maybe 5 minutes. Now I've refreshed--but I missed the goal in the process.
  11. My ESPN + must be behind by two minutes or more.
  12. This deadline is freaking crazy. There are about four teams blowing everything they have for the next several years. And then there's Washington, which is all schizo.
  13. Toronto, Boston, and Rangers are loading up on heavy artillery and Carolina just got a pop gun.
  14. HE'S STILL CURIOUS ABOUT THE UNKNOWN 3RD TEAM LOL
  15. The "count" happens at noon daily, no?
  16. Yeah, and Stiffler or whatever his name is might return to his Florida form on a better team. Who knows? What I do know is that there is a clog in the forward pipeline while the D pipeline is almost empty.
  17. 50 contracts in a season and 23 on the roster at any given moment (pre-deadline). Anything that pushes Bryson further down the chart is a good thing to me, I guess. Would I have traded Thompson for him? No. But this future JAG is as fungible as they come. It's really not wasting an asset because he's not really an asset. He's just kind of there, like a book on your shelf that you haven't picked up in 20 years.
  18. Let's flip this around. What is it that you see in Bloom that makes him someone that the Sabres shouldn't trade in a situation like this? Or is it the principle of the thing? Because it seems like most of the rest of us don't see anything special there.
  19. CapFriendly has them at 44, but that's w/o Houser and this guy and probably one more. You don't have to count--it's right up top on the team page--but you do have to verify that CapFriendly has everything.
