  1. I'm just back home; I've missed most of the second. The first? WTF? The Rags were cycling that puck all over the Sabres. (I wonder which coach is responsible for that.) Skinner just added one, which is nice. Sabs looked pathetic in the first.
  2. So when I typed my original question at 6am or whatever, I was thinking of a few posts saying that the Sabres' streak should not "really" be considered as part of the overall record.
  3. It would seem to me from these responses that the streak should NOT be disregarded when looking at the Sabres' season as a whole.
  4. No. Somehow this team has a way of ***** up against the Rags.
  5. Oops, you sure did. Thanks.
  6. So, would the metrics predict the Sabres to be right about where they are now?
  7. That doesn't really do it for me. In fact, it could lead to an argument that if metrics can't support a ten game win streak, the metrics might be off. In a season with 82 games, a team is as good as its record. That record is sometimes going to include long winning or losing streaks, but it still is what it is.
  8. I'll watch Sunday. What time?
  9. I do want to know why I'm supposed to discard the Sabres' ten game winning streak from earlier in the season but credit the Blues' eight game winning streak that lifted them from last place into a playoff spot. Someone please explain.
  10. I have three keys on my mac that don't work. Two of them are necessary for me to input my password. Any help--even Charlie help--would be appreciated. Signed, Eleven on his work computer.
  11. Yeah, let's straighten this out. What are we doing?
  12. ITT: Assloads.
  13. Is this the first time in three weeks that this thread has been opened?
  14. But you go there all the time, like once a month. Try something new?
  15. Meh.
  16. Ir's also a great place to gank some luggage.
  17. Detroit has put Martin Frk on wvrs per LeBrun.
  18. This will be seen as insensitive by some. Oh well. Airplanes have limited space and we all have to share that space. If you are going to take up more than one seat, pay for it. I don't care if that's for your baby, or for your left thigh, or for your double bass, or whatever. Pay for the space you use. I'm not switching seats. I'm anxious enough being cooped up. There's a reason why I paid $15 or $30 for extra leg room on the aisle, and it's not because I'm 6'5". It's because even that perceived 2% of extra freedom makes me considerably less anxious. Also: If there is a middle seat, and a person is sitting in it, that person gets both armrests if they want them. End of story.
  19. I've seen no such correlation on JetBlue, which is easily the airline I fly most often. Last time I flew something else, it was United, and there were like 7 different boarding groups just for coach! (I also got to fly back first class for free *and* got almost $1000 because they screwed up, which was nice.) Do you even have an airport in Halifax?
  20. Yeah, I gave seats on the glass to some guy back in December because I had to leave early (trial following day). Guy was a jerk.
  21. I'm the opposite here. If you're taking away from my preparation time or possibly making me late for something important, I'm going to be angry. If I have to chill out and read a book for a while on the way home, fine by me.
  22. From what I understand, your "boarding zone" (I can't stand that misuse of the word) is determined by how often you fly a particular airline and whether you are a member of their frequent flyer program. So among regular ol' coach flyers, if you're a member of the program, you'll be in "zone" 1. If you fly an airline frequently, you'll be in zone 2. Infrequently, zone 3. Never heard of you before and you booked the cheapest ticket at the last minute? Zone 4. Etc. This allows the airlines to take better care of their more frequent customers. It's also nonsense, and if people in the rear of the plane would just have stopped putting their stuff in overhead bins toward the front, it never would have been a problem requiring a solution to begin with.
  23. They used to load them back to front before this whole "boarding zone" nonsense started up.
  24. Honestly, they need to pipe a modest tranquilizer through the HVAC systems in airports.
