The short of it is: They're not involved. If the mods think I can post just that portion of the article, I'm happy to.

There are ways to train the upper body without engaging the thumb. I have a buddy with no fingers on one hand and he's able to find ways to bench press, do pull-ups, etc.

So I think this is my favorite move from yesterday. It shores up that #3 goalie spot and allows 6K to focus on Rochester (when he returns) if something happens to Hutton (like an assassination by a fan) or Ullmark. Hammond's time in the NHL was up and down, but the up was really up. And it cost next to nothing.

No one said he's the answer. He might be part of it, though.
