  1. Time for the pre-game warm-up! By which I mean a nice nap. See you all in an hour plus whatever it takes them to sing silly songs.
  2. Just the look on his face.
  3. Definitely, but that's not saying a whole lot.
  4. 3 for a win, 1 for a tie. No OT. No shootout. Works wonders in soccer when a team really needs a win instead of a draw.
  5. Interesting points on cancel culture, to be sure. Really making me think. In Sweden? Possible, but pretty doubtful.
  6. Yeah, and the Sabres won a President's Trophy in the slugs. ***** is still *****.
  7. Nikita Zaitsev has been accused of attacking his ex-wife and taking their children: https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/ottawa-senators-nikita-zaitsev-allegedly-takes-kids-from-exwife-while-in-russia-151135594.html Not sure what to make of this. As usual, I'm going to let it play out.
  8. This guy from Kitchener at lunch was pissed that I even knew about it.
  9. Yeah, because they set picks on their own teammates:
  10. They love Southern Ontario Sabres fans, to be sure.
  11. Gross.
  12. VERY basic and hockey-related meme. I'm in an introductory course, but I'm supplementing it with duolinguo.
  13. Get creative. Call the marketing director or community relations manager and tell him/her that Mike Vrabel gave you their number or something.
  14. Have you tried calling them? Nor should it. Teams that do this are weak.
  15. Yeah, looks like it.
  16. --Bills are going to wear that ugly Division III Color Rush stuff on Sunday. --According to The Athletic, playoff tickets go on sale tomorrow.
  17. You're not. It's not like one becomes the director of a bank at 23 based on merit. Even back then.
  18. You've got an old edition of the textbook. Time to update.
  19. Sorry--misunderstood you!
  20. Yes, but your post referred to "Seymour the 4th," which is not "our Seymour." Also, "farmer" doesn't necessarily mean he was hoeing a plot of dirt (although it could).
  21. No, his great-grandfather was a schoolteacher and entrepreneur. Yes, he did. Nichols, in fact. Then Yale. He was a director of Marine Midland at the age of 23. The sort of position that only wealth gets you at that age. The Knoxes were not poor, and Seymour III was no self-starter (nor was II). IV is a bit of an enigma; the family fortune has been protected from his hands.
