It doesn't really make a difference to me one way or another, but I certainly can see how people who are busy on Saturday afternoon and were looking forward to the game would be disappointed. Not every Sabres fan cares about the Bills. On the other hand, some people who have to work Saturday evening and/or night might be able to go to the game now. The Sabres are taking care of replacing tickets and/or giving refunds, it seems. Also let me know if you're coming into town! I'm back in Buffalo for a couple of weeks.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. You're right, I would reply that there are plenty of Republicans who would take the same position you desire--a position I find admirable, by the way--it was the main reason I could not vote for Hillary Clinton. Is there really no way that the entire Republican-controlled Senate and formerly Republican-controlled House can't or couldn't simply stand up to him and tell him that his behavior is unacceptable while still supporting his policy agenda? Doubtful... Much more well-stated than how I put it.

The rules were different then and there was much more left to officials' interpretation. I agree with you--Marino got away with it a lot. But with today's clear rule that the ball must cross the line of scrimmage, there is no excuse.

He also had a collision with a teammate that stifled a rush, and missed a couple of passes sent back to him at the blue line in the offensive zone. I'm not one of the Bogosian haters, but this was not his best game.
