  1. What fanbase?
  2. What you saw at the Habs game reflects every Habs game I've ever been to, including one in DC. It's like when the Yankees come to town. What you saw at the Ottawa game reflects the product on the ice. It's not our job to entertain the team. It's the team's job to entertain us. It wasn't doing that when it came out flat after 9 or 10 days off.
  3. I'm in a better place than I was on Saturday, but I still wonder if it isn't better for the team long term if they lose out and fire everyone.
  4. Also, I believe Mark Pysyk is the only NHL player ever to receive an awarded goal and also score a goal in Mike Smith's pants.
  5. Yeah that's how the Iowa caucuses work for both parties, IIRC. Yes. It's silly. It is a complete disaster. Don't rule it out.
  6. The best part was the ref calling the awarded goal (because of the trip) just slightly before the puck actually went in. I don't remember actually seeing an awarded goal before. I probably have and just forgot about it.
  7. That, I have done. Just not as a grownup. I don't think it's my "thing."
  8. Doesn't it kind of imply that they won't move him "on the cheap" if they're not shopping him?
  9. I have not. That's literally what my post said!
  10. Laviolette right now. I know it's about the ninetieth time I've mentioned it.
  11. Hat trick for Pysyk now. The Leaves took a page from the Sabres' manual and didn't finish the game.
  12. Mark Pysyk is on fire tonight.
  13. It's not even just another day. It's another Tuesday. I don't think I've ever been without power for a whole day in my adult life. Even during the October Surprise I had a steady stream of friends and family coming over to get a hot shower, charge their flip phones, and do laundry.
  14. Ah, the forbidden shrimp! Well, the proscription against pork and bivalves always made sense to me when considering hygienic practices in ancient times. Food that was potentially dangerous was deemed unclean and forbidden. Sensible. I never really got why the Jews banned lobster and crabs, though.
  15. How do you even know that, though?
  16. Well that sux.
  17. Or they could just play the game on Saturday night.
  18. It's equipment, so I figured the person in charge of equipment is ultimately responsible, regardless of whether he personally stitched the names on there. If it's from another department, it's from another department; I linked an org chart. We have a funny story in my family. My last name is spelled entirely with letters that look the same upside down as they do right side up, if capital letters are used. So when my father entered the National Guard, of course they stitched the name plate on upside down. His drill sergeant was not amused when no one was responding when his "name" was called.
  19. The person ultimately responsible for the girl on the Jumbotron would be Kelsey Schneider. I don't know anything about her or when she joined the organization. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/team/staff The person ultimately responsible for the misspelled names on the sweaters is Rip Simonick and he has been around the team forever.
  20. Huh. I didn't realize that Berglund wasn't counted against the Sabs' cap. Interesting.
  21. Why should they be allowed to circumvent the cap when other teams are stuck with albatross contracts?
  22. I guess I'm not certain of your meaning? Going to a judge with a case built upon minutiae is a good way to have the case dismissed.
  23. Not ideally. Judges don't like that.
  24. I was. I suppose I still am in a sense. Not sure why that's important here.
  25. Yeah that's what I thought. No, just this particular sub-issue. It appears that we are in agreement.
