  1. Not since he broke up with that car dealer's daughter. Yeah but one is worth more than the other. Vegas knew what they were doing. And did it right, given the tilted rink.
  2. He also IS the biggest name in his own big and non-traditional market. And Jack Eichel is not Mark Stone.
  3. This is exactly what they did and they knew what they were doing. It's garbage.
  4. He's not my favorite either, but the game is the game.
  5. So do I, but it's still BS that Tk has to sit for 12 minutes.
  6. The series isn't even five periods old yet. This is BS by the NHL. If that were Marchand, they'd give him the Smythe.
  7. How did Tk--can't be bothered--get 2 + 10 there?
  8. In no way was that a dirty hit by Tk--I can't be bothered. Clean hit. Unfortunate that Eichel's skate got caught like that.
  9. Without even knowing what you're talking about, I know you're right.
  10. Yeah Florida is just Lyon down for this game. I have wanted to say this since January and didn't want to jinx it, so I didn't. Now that you have published the thought: You are 100% correct.
  11. This is gonna be a butt-kicking tonight. Maurice, Tkschskaksch, and co. had better fire up the team on the plane home.
  12. There are serious implications for The Lord's Prayer with this--it is "thy," not "your," even in modern-day English. (I'm not kidding, I wrote a mini-paper on it once.) The distinction is ancient, as well; the Austrian Jewish philosopher/theologian Martin Buber titled his seminal work "Ich und Du," not "Ich und Sie," implying that Jews, as well as Christians, *choose* the second-person *informal* pronoun to address God! It is not a coincidence and it is pretty amazing when you think about it. (Or at least when I think about it.) I have absolutely no knowledge of Arabic, so I don't know what the third major Abrahamic religion does there, but maybe @Sabres Fan in NS can chime in.
  13. And it makes the Thompson and Cozens deals look even better.
  14. Caulfield $7.9x8 with Montreal.
  15. Back in the day when video game franchises were proliferating ("Joe Montana Football," "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out," "Magic Johnson's Fast Break," etc.) I really wanted one named "Buffalo Sabres Dump-n-Chase Hockey." What is it with this team and the dump and chase?! It's like it's in a DNA pattern or something.
  16. Cozens is the one who already is there, I think. I am opening my mind a bit on Mittelstadt--I haven't demanded a trade in a while--but while the Sabres need C depth, they need D depth more, and if the right trade is there, they should take it. @MarvinSavoie's disappointing appearance in the Calder semifinals (and yes I am aware of the BN opinion piece stating that it was unfair to paradrop him in there--which is one of the reasons why I asked whom he was replacing in the Rochester game threads)--does mean that the Sabres need to pay a little more attention to C depth, though. I can acknowledge that, too.
  17. That was the SAME YEAR? I am getting old. It's all getting mixed together.
  18. Not finally. He had already done the same thing with Disco Dan before. But yes, not disgraceful at all.
  19. Here you go, folks: http://www.whowins.com This site hasn't been redesigned since the Web as an infant, but it does have the stats.
  20. I'm not counting the rats out based on one game. Especially with the better goaltender.
  21. Somehow I'm not sorry to have missed it. I think five or ten years ago I would have wanted to know what happened.
  22. I would be much happier trading the 13th pick for a player than I would be trading a defenseman for another first-round pick. I don't mind moving 13OA at all.
  23. The Sabres fan in me tells me that this is wrong. (98, 99, 06, 11...)
