I've been living under a rock since about Sunday or so. Emerged last night for the draft. Is this actually a thing?

Miami is getting good. I am unhappy. It was a good trade. I misjudged it in immediacy because of the Sammy Watkins Experience, but it was a good trade. I spent some time in a zoom chat with a good friend from Minny yesterday and he still is furious about it.

Not at all. There were comparisons to the Jacobs family, there was a lengthy criticism of the failure to pay game-day employees, and some serious discussion of the "drill another well" mentality. You either didn't listen to too much of it (because they did take a break after a few minutes to talk NFL draft) or are underselling it.

Dalton is washed up, and I never was much of a believer in him to begin with. I'd much rather have the Bills stick with the plan, maybe add a third-string project, and move forward. I see Dalton as a step back.

I can sure say this so far--anyone who thought that WGR is afraid to criticize the Pegulas needs to walk that back after the last half hour.

His record with the Bills suggests otherwise. He won his lone start in 2018. His lone "real game" in 2019 was the game where the Bills got jobbed against the Patriots, and Barkley had to come in late off the bench to play against both the Pats and the refs. His other game in 2019 also was not a start and was not a "real game"; it was week 17 against the Jets, and the Bills were just trying to get out of there without injuries. I think he could win 2 out of 4 games. Andy Dalton, on the other hand, won 2 out of 13 starts last season. 5 out of 11 the year before.

I was wondering how you're doing with that. Good to see you're not among the victims.

I think that Barkley is very good for Allen. I also don't think he's a bad backup at all. I'd rather keep him around.

I have a few observations about both the article and the Q&A, but I need to give them both a second read (where I usually read The Athletic doesn't lend itself well to concentration). I'm slightly disappointed, but I also wonder how much of it is business as usual in the industry. More to come.

My opinion is neither experienced nor knowledgable. And I didn't watch the video. Just looking at the still shot let me know that she's off her rocker. Yeah, people walk into law offices with some hugely incorrect ideas, too.

During a strange conversation with my father about the 1970 draft, I was compelled to do some Internet research. Turns out that there were three Hall of Famers drafted in 1970. No, Dave Tallon was not one of them. Can you name them? And can you name the teams that selected them? Perreault and Buffalo are "free," so just name the other two. I don't think we're getting political at the moment but maybe I don't see it. As for hospitals over-filling: We're going to run out of beds in WNY, aren't we?
