  1. Key episodes (my favorites): The one where they play the poker game in house, the one where Norm has to fire people, and the one where Carla assaults the Yankee fan. Or anything else involving Coach.
  2. At the very least, it requires registration. It may be a free article. Can you summarize it?
  3. Also, I have one pupusa left in the freezer and that is going to become breakfast in five minutes.
  4. The article you linked also is paywalled, so no one can read it. The religion thread is open for business.
  5. We had a religion thread. It was not controversial. I can't seem to find it. It seems that a lot of people want to talk religion right now, which isn't unexpected given the events of our times. This is your safe space. Please be respectful of people of all faiths, of people of no faith, and of different sects of faiths (screwy protestants /s). I know that religion sometimes, unfortunately, intersects with politics. This isn't the place for that. The politics club is. This is for discussing religion, whether you are religious, faithful, or neither.
  6. I am starting a new religion thread. Can't find the old one.
  7. Lent is almost over. I'm thinking steak tonight, if I can find steak.
  8. I read Sidd Finch by George Plimpton, does that count?
  9. It looks like there are only 20 masks there.
  10. Insomnia... Insomnia... You border on the Adriatic. Your land is mostly mountainous, And your chief export is chrome.
  11. He was great. Come on. You're not old enough to really remember Healey!
  12. Closed and I am not happy. @dudacek is talking about a different system. He is Canadian.
  13. Lorentz was great and I think he was the best of Jeaneret's various broadcast partners.. It was a sad day when he left. Was it Neale who was his replacement initially? Because Neale wasn't horrible, but he wasn't Lorentz. And now we have Shrek.
  14. Ugh. Even though he's not the same as he was, he's still the greatest PBP announcer in any sport that I ever have heard. The way he describes what's going on--or maybe the way he used to--is/was sublime. A quote: Ever the optimist, he expects the Sabres to be in position to make the playoffs next season for the first time since 2011. “Well, they better or I won't come back for 51,” cracked Jeanneret before turning somewhat serious. “I got a feeling there won't be a 51 anyway. It has to come to an end.” Why? “I'm getting older, I'm getting slower, I'm getting all kinds of things that are slowing things down a little bit,” said Jeanneret. “You’ve got to come to grips with this. You know you can't go forever.” The link: https://buffalonews.com/2020/04/10/buffalo-sabres-rick-jeanneret-announcer-future-jim-lorentz/
  15. Nah, he doesn't do that anymore and hasn't for a long, long time. I had been kind of following him. I heard about the XFL shutting down. I think they had a 35% chance or so of making it if it weren't for the COVID thing. I don't know anything about AAFL.
  16. Jim Rome is going back through sports heels in recent history and right now is absolutely teeing off on Ryan Lochte. It's hilarious.
  17. The skeptic in me says that his agency did a wonderful job of crafting a piece that checks all the boxes. But I am very excited to have him here.
  18. Felt pretty much the same way. I like McKegney, but Vanek was considerably more talented.
  19. Also, apparently Sabres history began in around 1998 or so. No way are those the top ten hits in Sabres history. I'm not sure a legit list would have Campbell at #1, but maybe it would.
  20. I can't think of a game the two played where Risto wasn't all over Ovie. I wonder if there's some ethnonationalist reason for it. Finns do not like Russians.
  21. Vanek was far more multi-dimensional than the other snipers, so I'm giving him the nod. The second question was tougher. I was able to boil it down to Ramsay and Hecht, but even that wasn't easy. Each of those guys has something going for him; Brown could really hit, Grier had leadership ability, Seiling could settle down the pace of a game when needed. But Ramsay and Hecht had all of those qualities. Nostalgia won out, I guess, and I went with #10.
  22. Do you have any frozen vegetables? If you do... Cook 1/2 lb. of ziti. In a separate pot, cook the frozen vegetables until cooked but still somewhat crisp. Combine the pasta and vegetables and chill. When the pasta and vegetables are chilled, drain and flake one can of tuna and combine with the pasta and vegetables. Add mayo and stir. Make it a garlicky mayo if you want or stir in a little of the bullion if you want. (I usually use Italian dressing and some grated cheese instead of mayo, but you don't appear to have the dressing. If you have oil, vinegar and the spices to make the dressing, that's what I would do.) You now have a nutritious tuna pasta salad.
  23. The Rags weren't exactly overwhelming. They needed to win three elimination games in the last two rounds, one of which went to OT and two of which were one-goal wins.
  24. Regardless of what I think of Hillary Clinton (not much), there's no way Sanders was going to beat Trump in 2016. (Or in 2020.) Frankly, if not for James Comey, she would have had the presidency sewn up even in the face of Russian interference.
  25. I don't think that's an ignorant point of view at all. It's exactly what happened.
