They also paid all gameday staff across all teams. I really wish I hadn't been buried last week and could have participated in this thread in a more timely fashion.

1) I just prefer Macs because I know SLIGHTLY more about what to do if something goes wrong. Twenty years ago, I could do more, but in this age of closed operating systems, I'm largely at sea no matter which OS. So it's mostly familiarity at this point. 2) Sounds like what some people call an "emotional affair," which often leads to a real one. Not a good place to be.

It goes back to this: People don't think that the Pegulas are competent enough to hire a GM (despite the fact that they have done so in football, but let's not digress). So what makes them competent to hire a president to oversee the GM? Nothing, right? So then they probably should hire someone to oversee the president who oversees the GM. And then someone to oversee THAT person. Etc. It becomes a reverse "House that Jack Built," and I mean the nursery rhyme, not what we hope Eichel will do. Just get a better GM and start winning and all of this silliness goes out the window.

...that I was fired as supervale of the sunnyparts park. It's not true. I quit! ...And you have my permission to do whatever you want, any time, any place, and you don't have to listen to Pillsbandy Doughboy and Team Sexy.

No. As I've said before, this level of management is superfluous. If Botterill can't get it done, fire Botterill and hire a different GM.
-
Campbell was so, so BAD those first couple of seasons, though. As in, every time he was on the ice, he screwed up. When I look at how each of him and Dahlin started their NHL careers, I have to think Dahlin's ceiling is miles higher.
-
Blackhawks fired their team president yesterday but kept Bowman as GM.
-
I hope there's a way to get both Schoenfeld and Ramsey in there eventually, but Schoenfeld won for me tonight.
-
Yep that's it.
-
It isn't his autograph and he didn't play last season. I checked out Dahlin, but it isn't his, either.

Even tomorrow or the next day, whatever that is (I think it ends in a 'y") is ok. Just wanted to know if we're still on!

(With apologies to the original curator of the series, PA.) Hasek. 70 saves. https://lastwordonhockey.com/2020/04/27/today-in-hockey-history-buffalo-sabres-dominik-hasek-makes-70-saves/

Hey @dudacek any thoughts about resurrecting this? It has been a very fun distraction so far.

Same boat. I used to have to fill out the quarterlies and mail them in.
-
So using the method provided by various google responses, I measure just short of 9.25. I was a little surprised, because there is no way I could throw a spiral with an NFL football.

Get off the limb and onto google instead: https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=how+the+nfl+measures+hands&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Paging @Randall Flagg to the BIlls thread....

Sweden isn't just "letting it rip," but it doesn't treat COVID patients at hospitals and the social distancing has started very late.
-
Not the first time the IRS website has been a mess. There was a massive crash on tax deadline day two years ago, and there was a massive outage in February 2016 as well.
-
Well, it's not a game, and there are no winners. But Sweden will do no better than 11th worst in COVID deaths per capita unless people in other countries start suffering even more, which, as you note, is rather grim. Exactly.
-
I don't know where people are getting information on Sweden, but it is NOT handling this well. It has two-three times the COVID mortality rates of other Nordic countries and its hospitals are turning away the afflicted. Here, a man was airlifted to Turkey for treatment because a Swedish hospital refused to treat him: https://www.expressen.se/kvallsposten/coronasjuk-man-fick-inte-vard-flogs-till-turkiet-/ A whopping 69% of closed Swedish COVID cases ended in death: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/sweden/ Sweden ranks 11th worldwide in COVID deaths per capita: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries (use the sort function). Sweden does so, so much right that it's a little ridiculous to watch them screw this up so badly.

Believe me, it was linked from elsewhere. The photo? You mean the stack of logs?

I know. Daddy and uncle are muscled soap-opera actors. Would I care if his mother was a world-class ballerina? No. He's some guy from some school no one has heard of, who got signed by some team that no one here cares about. He's as relevant as I am. And it doesn't appear that he has a White Power tattoo, either, so that's probably why the Pats didn't sign him.
