I started following hockey as a toddler; I didn't start following the NFL until later and the NBA always has been a casual spectacle for me. I don't remember McAdoo or OJ as actual players (well, I remember OJ as a Niner I guess) so this was an interesting read. I've been told that one point, OJ was one of the most recognizable people in the world. I know that speaks to celebrity rather than greatness, but that celebrity was built on something. I do wonder whether, without the murder charge, OJ would be a "bigger name" than Hasek in, say, Central Europe today.

All three have been on the cover of SI. One of them has been on the cover of SI six times.

E5. Not saying it won't happen (how is Tampa going to pay him, though?), but I could put together a BS site, too.

It's a short argument. It's only two letters. O and J.

I'm all for it.

Did you look at the third word of the post you quoted? LOL

Again mildly infuriating. LeBron's life is worth no more and no less than the life of some random lady in North Cackalacky.

Brad Park was a defenseman who scored in Sabres playoff history. Yes, I am awake past when I'd like to be, and I'm being cranky.
-
McKee is probably second or third on my list of favorites. That dude just shut stuff down. He was the Sabres equivalent of Bruce Smith (my favorite Bill of all time).

While I forever will be angry with Bowman for what he did to/with the Sabres, I cannot ignore that Van Boxmeer was a contributor. At least he got some value for Robert, there. (My sister, on the other hand, temporarily changed her allegiance to Pittsburgh because Bowman traded the player she had a crush on, and penguins are cute or something. This was rectified quickly.) Spacek played better in neutral ice and in his own zone. Van Boxmeer put up more points and had the better bowl cut. That's why this is a tough decision. It may be the toughest out of all of dudacek's polls so far.

Yeah, he won the spin of the wheel that month. Who didn't? These are trivia facts, not reasons! Come on Taro!

My hunch is that the playoff plan doesn't fly and so they can have the same spotlight at the normal time. My hunches are not always correct.

I have one now and I had one in my last house, too. In my current house, I had it put in (I'm ok with repairs but not so clever to do that myself), and in my last house, it was there and had been there since at least 100 years ago. It was very obviously planned by whoever designed that place.

I am locked in on McKee for blocking shots and I won't be swayed. But I 'll listen to arguments between Van Boxmeer and Spacek. Please persuade my vote on that one.

Why not on the scheduled dates? What advantage is there to moving it up?

What is the point of this?

Negative.

But then CCP...

I have to use a new deodorant this morning. The store didn't have my usual brand so it's Right Guard XTREME. The name scares me. I'm afraid that if I take off the cap, a bunch of skateboarders are going to show up and start throwing Mountain Dew and Taco Bell products at me. Please help.

If those protestors were black, they'd be dead. freeman, don't you dare. It's basic sociology and not politics.

Yeah, somehow, our ant farm in those days didn't glow.
-
They're definitely more intelligent than 9 & 10 year old me and my sister, who knocked the ant farm over and suffered bites for a few days. My parents had to get someone to poison the basement or something (details are hazy). Be careful!

Binging Law and Order right now. The episode concerns a stolen vial of "coronavirus," and yep, they used that word. 2004. Also, it occurs to me that I've probably been in three dozen apartments in NYC and I've never seen any as large as some of those on L&O.
-
Of course not.

Who? When? I don't think I've ever heard this on HNiC, for example.
