Folks, there's no way that Kevyn Adams made this trade without running it by Staal first. If they hadn't been teammates, I could see that theory. But they were.
I can agree with that. Nothing wrong with running someone if all you're going to get is two minutes (or nothing). Sometimes, it can change the course of a team.
Don't excuse Dallas for its part in the boredom. And I think the refs sent a signal in the second period about touching the goalie when they penalized Perry. MAybe not, but just IMO.
Still, a boring series, for the most part. Hopefully it is over very soon.
Halfway through the game, Dallas has 7 shots on goal. That includes two powerplays. While, yes, as above, at least they made it to the finals and 29 other teams didn't, this is not a formula for winning hockey.
Dallas does realize that almost always, you need to shoot to score a goal, right?
I noticed that on the Tampa goal (the first one, as this thread will continue). It looked like Flyers version of Derian Hatcher back there.

This part reads like a prediction to me: "we should probably expect Allen to begin looking a little less like Mahomes and Wilson and a bit more like the player we’ve seen take the field the past two years."
That call on Kroft may have been the worst I ever have seen. Sure, there was the non-call in the Saints-Rams game, but that was a non-call. Pass interference? And on top of that, an interception? It was just the worst ever.
