  1. Well, Tiffany hasn't done anything yet.
  2. It's always looked like a mean version of the Elmer's glue logo to me. Not a dragon. Not a satanic thing.
  3. " His job is not to call the game as it is to offer commentary. His job isn't to be bland but to provoke. " is what I was responding to. Providing commentary was equated to provocation. Frankly, if Harry Neale had made the remark on Thursday, I don't think we'd be talking about it.
  4. Wow. I had never heard of this incident before.
  5. No. He was fired for ... I don't even want to put it here. Just go to his wiki page. The quote is there. Has nothing to do with swimming.
  6. Beat me to it. It was a bad decision not to give Trotz the term he wanted.
  7. I don't recall Lorentz or Neale needing to be provocative in order to offer commentary.
  8. What is this a reference to?
  9. Which is fine, and maybe Darcy just couldn't trade up to get him. The notion that Thomas Vanek pushed for Kopitar seems a little weird to me. What NHL GM has ever asked a rookie about whom to draft?
  10. This is much more interesting than the Milbury situation. Fleury's agent is really stirring it up. Thing is, though, Lehner had better stats this season and Fleury isn't exactly a spring chicken.
  11. A single dollar is an asset. (Which can be traded for Ray Sheppard.) A proven player is a bigger asset. Let's not put form over substance here. A "decent asset" is not "guaranteed" with pick 8.
  12. No, that is not guaranteed. Look at how many people regard the eighth-overall picks already on the team or already traded (Nylander, Ristolainen, Mittelstadt). And then look at Derrick Pouliot, Alexander Burmistrov, and others. Not exactly a guarantee. Even first overall isn't guaranteed, as Alexandre Daigle might remind you, or third (Gratton, same draft) or fifth (Rob Niedermayer, same draft). You know what IS guaranteed? An actual NHL player.
  13. In a second. The eighth pick isn't worth the eighth pick with some of the dreams people have here. It is possible, but unlikely, that the pick turns out to be as good as Monahan.
  14. Hey. It's at least as effective as Head On.
  15. I think it's certainly a part of it.
  16. Infectious Diseases Society of America has come out against HCQ: https://www.idsociety.org/practice-guideline/covid-19-guideline-treatment-and-management/ (Click on "executive summary:).
  17. @dudacek thank you for posting the Strang excerpt. I needed that perspective to see how this was anything other than just a stupid remark that added nothing.
  18. I did not mean to insult. I may have misread your comment. Seemed to me that you thought that Buffalo fans thought he was overpaid; the vast majority of us did not.
  19. This is why I have Boston going through to the final in my bracket. (And losing!)
  20. This did not happen. A couple of brainless fans might have reacted that way, but it is not the "reaction at the time" in Buffalo. Your post almost amounts to a lie.
  21. RIP bracket.
  22. The Islanders now have won more playoff series in Toronto than Tavares and Matthews combined.
  23. Tampa has to get through Philly, Boston, or maybe even both, and I don't see them physically surviving that.
  24. One was used properly, and the other was not. Olofsson's training season is over and Skinner should be back on the top line for 5-on-5 play.
  25. So no more weekday hockey ?
