  1. Ok. Here's the plan. The following people, BY FRIDAY, please PM me with an email address that you will use for fantasy football: @Derrico (if you're able to play--we understand if you can't and your health is paramount. You can have my spot next year if you can't play this year and if no one drops out.) @WildCard @pi2000 @North Buffalo @Norcal @jsb @TrueBlueGED @SDS @Taro T If I don't hear by Friday 5pm ET, I'll have to assume you're not into it this year. That's a ten-team league (including me), so we have room for two more even if everyone listed above participates, which I'm guessing won't be the case. So, ANYONE ELSE who is interested, please PM me and you'll be admitted in the order received. The first two open spots are open as of right now, and more may open by Friday evening. I believe we used yahoo last year and I'm willing to do that again, but I do find ESPN's interface to be a little easier. Once we have a complete league, we'll set a draft date. Football starts Sept. 10, so I think we need to have the draft on or before Sept. 8. That is closer than it may seem; it is next week Tuesday.

    So #8

    Sean Monahan.
  3. It can't be gorgeous across the whole continent. And in two weeks, we'll all have eyeballs on screens at 1pm even if it's gorgeous out. I really think they missed an opportunity here, and since it's the NHL, I'm not easily going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
  4. Ok. @Derrico are you interested in playing, and just not administering?
  5. All I need is the list of people who played last year and I can set up a new one.
  6. That is an explanation--but the league surely reserved time slots for games that already were scheduled for today, right?
  7. Today's games are scheduled for 6pm, 8pm, and 1030pm Eastern. How stupid can the NHL get?
  8. Hi Swamp! Lindy is alive, well, the most successful coach we've ever seen in Buffalo, and headed to an arena near you in Jersey.
  9. Pepperidge Farm remembers.
  10. The Islanders can't believe how good the Islanders look.
  11. If this turns out to be a difficulty for Derrico, I can just start a new league.

It turns out that the FBI found him. He was wandering around in Kansas with barbecue sauce all over his shirt. He'll be back soon.
  13. Bracket is messssssssed up.
  14. Of course you commented on that, and not the point. And what is the first word in the well-known maxim about "strange bedfellows?" But you won't self-censor, I'll bet.
  15. Me too. My bracket, not so much.
  16. Not what this is about though.
  17. Alphabetically.
  18. I generally agree, but the Sabres had success under Golisano somehow.
  19. I really want to watch that Boston-Tampa Bay game but I know I'm going to miss at least the first period. Hopefully it's on the radio--I mean real, over-the-air radio.
  20. Here's the thing. I really don't care whether the Pegulas are "nice people" to work for. I know that Tom Golisano wasn't. I know Paul Snyder (Braves) wasn't and isn't. I don't know about the Rigases or Knoxes. As long as the Pegulas don't turn out to be Dan Snyder, all I care about is whether the team operations work well.
  21. Yet, when I google "cup and char," the results are all about how it's becoming a trend in NYC.
  22. I didn't set it up. @Derrico if you're well enough, can you let me know what's up? I can just start a new league, too, if that's what's needed.
  23. All I learned from googling that is that NYC will call it their own in five years.
  24. ยท 16h Marchand on "not bringing politics" into sports: "That's one thing people continually mix up. ... That's not what this is about. We're not being political. "It's about people being equal and being treated the same."
  25. "Race relations" is a highly divisive and inflammatory topic? Do you not see the problem here? "First they came ..."
