Skinner is a mess right now. First, he initiates a dump-and-chase with no followers and no line change. About 13 seconds later, he retreats behind the offensive blue line to receive a pass that he easily could have received in the zone. I'm blaming some of it on Krueger, but come on. I've got to say, the last few games, Casey has impressed me. And tonight, with Thompson and Asplund, they were flying all over the place. They look good together! Even Thompson was good. Really, there could be room for this line in the future of this team.

As I've said for two weeks (more?) now: Do not trade him for anything less than a first-round pick. If the league needs to be shown that the Sabres are not a discount outlet, so be it. That will pay off gains over time more than a second-round pick will.

I liked how he looked on Monday, too. For most of the game, at least.

· 4h Seems like the Flyers are going to be giving Carter Hart a bit of a break, with the focus on him practicing to clean up elements of his game. He won't start tonight (not even dressing) and he won't start Wednesday. Will be working with Kim Dillabaugh over the next few days.

@darksabredid the math a few years ago. At least I think it was him. Might have been @LGR4GM. Heck, at dis point, it might have been me (it wasn't). It's not good. And it certainly is nothing like the NFL, where guys in those rounds are expected to make the roster immediately after their draft year.
