Had a Beyond Burger tonight. I'm Catholic, it is a Lenten Friday, and I am so sick of fish, and grilled cheese, and needed some protein. You know what? It wasn't just "not bad." The freaking thing was delicious! I mean out of dis world delicious. I am betting dat in 30 years, they'll find chemicals in dis thing dat will kill me. But I really did like it. Toppings were conventional: LTO, American cheese, pickles (dill, the dummies) and mustard. Nothing special.

It hasn't happened in my way-too-many years here. There seems to be nothing controversial there.

I would rather have Vesey and Simmonds than picks in the 3d and 5th rounds. NHL draft picks after the second round are nearly valueless, IMO. Yes, teams hit on one here or there (hi Ryan; hi Viktor), but not often.

No, his new partner Rasmus Ristolainen is the hardest playing player on the team. Colin Miller is awful. If he's making the effort you say he is, it's an effort to be awful.

Rich Gaenzler was the arena announcer? I'd no idea. I'm so glad he's gone, for so many reasons, now including this reason. Bring me Milt Ellis! He was the Milt Ellis of announcers.

A few thoughts: Hall's attempted pass to Dahlin should put him firmly at $4M next year. Colin Miller. What his purpose on this Earth is is a mystery. It definitely is not what he is doing now. Thankfully Granato got him away from Dahlin eventually. I didn't think it was possible to have worse positioning than Hutton, but Tokarski or whatever his name is has proven me wrong. Is it too much to ask for Dunleavy to know whether a goal is scored or not? Just disgusting on all levels.
