I have no idea what I would do if I were the Bruins GM. If I think Hall puts my team over the top for a Cup run, yes, I trade a first. I don't want Hall re-signed. My point is that there is value to standing up to the league and saying, "hey, you want this guy, give me what he's worth. Or no one gets him." No, it isn't. They can give up a good prospect if they want Hall and don't have a 2021 first. Hall is a hot commodity and the Sabres must treat him like such.
