  1. Two players, a first (2021), and a fourth (2022) for Palmieri and Zajac. If your point is that the first wasn't for Palmieri alone, you're both correct and nitpicky.
  2. And neither would the other teams. There is value in a hard stance. It's how the West won the Cold War, FFS.
  3. *****, and I'll base that on the thumbs-ups I've received on past posts saying the same thing.
  4. I have no idea what I would do if I were the Bruins GM. If I think Hall puts my team over the top for a Cup run, yes, I trade a first. I don't want Hall re-signed. My point is that there is value to standing up to the league and saying, "hey, you want this guy, give me what he's worth. Or no one gets him." I've said that a couple of times, but I don't expect that you've read every one of my posts.
  5. Someone got pegged, all right. I don't care what the experts said. My standards for a Hall trade are well-published on this board. Scorched earth policy has a value to it, too. Scorched earth. This team would have gained more in the long term by keeping Hall and spiting the rest of the league, than it gained today.
  6. Hall is a recent Hart winner and Adams is a freaking idiot letting him go for a second and a 4th line swap.
  7. But they might get a third-round pick for him!
  8. If you think I overrate draft picks, you haven't been reading what I've been writing.
  9. Come on. Look at other trades. Foligno, Palmeri, etc. Adams could and should have done better. Come on. Look at other trades. Foligno, Palmeri, etc. Adams could and should have done better. Come on. Look at other trades. Foligno, Palmeri, etc. Adams could and should have done better.
  10. So Boston didn't have a third-round pick to give to the Sabs?
  11. Terry Pegula had nothing to do with this and Kevyn Adams is disappointing me for the ninetieth time this month.
  12. Yeah, that's kind of consistent with my point.
  13. The last third-round Sabres pick that was a "hit," and I am using that loosely, was McNabb, in 2009. Twelve years ago. Before him, you have to look at Afinogenov and maybe Sheppard.
  14. No, it isn't. They can give up a good prospect if they want Hall and don't have a 2021 first. Hall is a hot commodity and the Sabres must treat him like such.
  15. Great. I'll be sixty when he's a starter.
