@Taro Tplease help me if you can, but is this possibly the worst goaltending situation ever handled by an NHL team? We're on Houser now, like it's Total Recall? Yeah, because my pre-teen niecey is in net for the Sabs.

Not all of them originate in aborted fetuses. There are lots of ways that a gestating human might not be born, and there are people here who have experienced that in an involuntary manner. In other words, there are potential mothers who chose to have a child but were not able to.
-
Fetuses, not embryos, and even the Pope, presumably the most anti-abortion person on the planet, said that the ONE vaccine that MIGHT have traces of fetal stem cell research involved, said it's ok.
-
So if my math is right, this is the only team the Sabres have not beaten yet. I'd like to see it happen. There is only tonight and one more opportunity.
-
No, everything is not political.
-
To a man who has only a hammer, everything looks like a nail. This is not political--just like smoking on planes isn't. Hard-right, hard-left, poor, rich, whatever, the entire world is dealing with this. People trying to politicize it are doing it for viewers. There's a term called a "hundred year flood." This is a "hundred year pandemic." Almost right on the nose, actually. You took a long break from this board and said you came back because of the loneliness of our times. Maybe check out some of the hockey threads.

Let me give another example of a public health issue that is not political. Smoking in airplanes and restaurants. At some point, scientists determined that it was harmful to society. So we don't do that anymore. Not everything is political. Not every individual sacrifice for the greater good is some act of bowing to the control of others.
-
Exactly.
-
The vaccine is only a political issue to a very small minority who want to make it one. The rest of the world, liberal, conservative, whatever, seems to be on board with it.

You want me to tell you it's okay to ignore all of the science regarding the virus, and I'm not going to. You can either mask up and stay six feet away from people and take the precautions that the rest of us are taking to try to get the world moving again, or you can just selfishly do whatever you want. I'm not going to tell you what to do and I'm also not going to provide a platform for politicizing a public health issue that cuts across all ideologies all over the globe.

(referring to @Taro T reaction): I know. It sounded weird to me as well.
-
Except Howard Simon, who said today that he didn't see how they were going to get this done today. Around 8:45 am.
-
I wish he did shorter bits. I can't do 24 minutes of John Oliver.

We have done a meetup every year (this and last virus year excepted) for about five years or so now. It is a LOT of fun. We also did a Rochester meetup (for Amerks games) a couple of times.

Evolving Wild Contract Projections for the 2021 Offseason

This has to be a joke. -
This is the things that are awesome thread and not the things that wake you up thread. This is fantastic. Congratulations! And this also could be part of the things that wake you up thread.

I think my priest says it at Mass.

The Islanders felt the same way about Chara.

Our new offensive lineman:
-
No. Ellis was meh, not putrid.
-
He does. @dudacekhas been preparing the circle for many a moon. I keep telling him that it won't cleanse the curse that afflicts the Sabres, but still, he persists with the witchcraft. It's a horrible way to sacrifice a Coffee Crisp.
-
Well, that's just bad grammar.

TV: MSG Radio: WGR550 (according to the Sabres official website). Today's game is presented by Walmart (also according to the Sabres official website).

Frankly, I like both Ristolainen and Edmunds and want them on these teams, so I find the comparison to be apt.

Early on, scientists did some modeling and determined that the virus doesn't survive very well across two meters of air. I think there is discussion of this in this thread, on some of the early pages.
