  1. Yes.
  2. From the team's perspective, I think it is the only factor. From Eichel's perspective, well, I wonder if he is using the insistence upon surgery to try to get away.
  3. Yeah, it's been like sixteen months since something new downtown opened. Wonder why.
  4. They won the division in one of them, and made the playoffs in another.
  5. I think you're right, even though he has more bargaining power than Eichel has.
  6. *Before* Sunday if it's "within the week"; before next Friday if he said or meant to say "within a week."
  7. “He would be in my top 5 most difficult players to deal with. He is not a very nice person.... He always seems like he’s in a growly mood no matter who he’s dealing with. I’ve seen him be extremely rude with team personnel also.” --This is according to another board. Here is the interview: https://www.sportsnet.ca/650/peoples-show/paul-hamilton-canucks-linked-sam-reinhart-possible-sabres-moves/
  8. Perfect for a non-major league team.
  9. And an elite coach. [grinning devil emoji again]
  10. It was a great trade. The Sabres got a solid defenseman (Regehr), a shootout specialist (return of Kotalik), and a second-round pick (McCabe) for an undersized C prospect (Byron) and a third-pair defenseman (Butler). Tough to find fault with that. But Byron is in the third round, and the Sabres haven't made the playoffs.
  11. Neither. If that happens, I'd say it's because Adams pulled off some amazing trades. The tank is 7 years ago now.
  12. [grinning devil emoji]
  13. Oh yes they did. I think it was the Pens and Devils in a chase to the bottom. Paging @Taro T
  14. A "tank" is for one player. Penguins for Lemieux. Senators for Daigle. Colts for Luck. You're confusing it with a rebuild. The tank failed. The rebuild is ongoing more than half a decade later.
  15. And Byron and Staal. And Carrier and maybe one or two others. Now, Carrier was lost in the expansion draft, so I'm not so sure what the Sabres could have done there. Byron was part of a fair trade for Regehr and Kotalik, and now he wears an A for the most storied team in hockey. (Notably, that trade was part of the reason the Sabres were so thin at C in the early 10s--he was a center prospect when traded.) Armia was part of the Kane trade that ended up being a lose-lose situation, though.
  16. This is the dumbest thing I have read--even in the Post--in a long time.
  17. That Karlsson hit is a penalty in any regular season game and possibly a phone call from Toronto.
  18. I knew that *someone* watched that movie. I just didn't know whom. Now I know.
  19. Las Vegas has a predicted high of 116F tomorrow. It is 107 right now at 830pm PT.
  20. All four of my grandparents were Italian and I am very definitely American.
  21. I already told you Lindy didn't coach him!
  22. Yeah that's just way too much. Appropriate for Vegas I suppose.
  23. Can you imagine the Habs doing this pregame nonsense? No. Because they're classy.
