  1. One person's analytics deep-dive supporting Beniers: https://www.scouching.ca/the-blog/scouchings-post-nhl-draft-lottery-rankings
  2. Petry's hand has been treated and he is good until the end of the playoffs; he may have surgery after.
  3. Well that answers that.
  4. It might fetch two out of the three, and I'm very, very in favor of it.
  5. This could be St. John Fisher's decision, maybe? I know UB is still really restrictive. Like I had to make an appointment just to go to one of the libraries.
  6. This one hasn't been mentioned, but it certainly is an option. What do we think?
  7. No arena environment would be enjoyable with this team.
  8. Which city/country/continent?
  9. We are in total agreement here. I am still of the mind that a team is built from the net out.
  10. This is the thing. It's not "built for the playoffs." It's Carey Price. And I am enjoying it.
  11. DOOHICKIE WILL BE FINE. @PASabreFan! Oh, no, wait. The Bruins? Or Flyers?
  12. Yeah, that helped me sleep!
  13. Drew Stafford was awesome.
  14. I'm rooting for the Habs, but I don't see them getting out of the third round. And last night's game was a snoozer.
  15. Ok. I've gotten to know him and I still don't want the Sabres to hire him. If they're going to go with a newbie, go with the newbie they already have. Otherwise, I want them to hire a coach with experience as a head coach in the NHL.
  16. It was a mistake to fire Lindy Ruff.
  17. I'm not aggravated by that. If the Bills were the second game, and I didn't get to see the start of it, then I'd be aggravated. It was SO stupid. It only lasted for a year or two. Everyone--sports radio, newspapers, the proverbial guy on the street, the announcers during games--hated it.
  18. Surfing while trying to sleep, found this gem:
  19. If you watched the way he played most of the third period, you would not be of this opinion. He was unhinged. None of it justifies dragging his family into it, though.
  20. Two of them are, actually. That's how penalties worked (although I don't remember what triggered a penalty). If your team was penalized, you'd put the defenseman behind that barrier, and the barrier would (supposedly) ensure that the puck would remain in play.
  21. I just got a card from my Godmother. It is postmarked July 20, 2019. She lives across town. WTF?
  22. Absolutely. This is a GREAT idea.
  23. He seemingly tried to kick through the penalty box door just minutes beforehand. Of course he *should* be suspended. The question is whether the NHL will enforce its rules in the absence of an injury to Evans (and we don't know whether he can play).
