Ok. I've gotten to know him and I still don't want the Sabres to hire him. If they're going to go with a newbie, go with the newbie they already have. Otherwise, I want them to hire a coach with experience as a head coach in the NHL.

I'm not aggravated by that. If the Bills were the second game, and I didn't get to see the start of it, then I'd be aggravated. It was SO stupid. It only lasted for a year or two. Everyone--sports radio, newspapers, the proverbial guy on the street, the announcers during games--hated it.

Two of them are, actually. That's how penalties worked (although I don't remember what triggered a penalty). If your team was penalized, you'd put the defenseman behind that barrier, and the barrier would (supposedly) ensure that the puck would remain in play.

Absolutely. This is a GREAT idea.

He seemingly tried to kick through the penalty box door just minutes beforehand. Of course he *should* be suspended. The question is whether the NHL will enforce its rules in the absence of an injury to Evans (and we don't know whether he can play).
