  1. ***** this *****.
  2. But they might end up with more to protect after the trade. Can't know for certain.
  3. Danault is what he is: a good defensive forward who excels at faceoffs. He's Gaustad. I wouldn't mind him here but I wouldn't break the bank for him.
  4. It's what NBC does. They pick one athlete, seemingly at random, like Karch Kiraly, and harp on about how great he/she is through an entire series/Olympics/golf tournament/whatever. It must be in their internal style manual or something.
  5. Agree w/ the second part but check @Randall Flagg's post regarding the first part.
  6. Jessie Pegula has made the US Olympic team. Accusations of meddling in 5...4...3...
  7. It has been insane the last few months.
  8. Hey! @josiemade that!
  9. Well it's just as disturbing today.
  10. I can imagine what the thread here would have looked like.
  11. Now THAT was a game of bounces, and they all went Tampa's way.
  12. Oh, Hammy (any relation to Paul?) may have, with currency, and Chernow may have been right. I've no idea. I suspect that it's correct. But the metric system, the decimal calendar, and the decimal clock (yes they tried) were borne from the French Revolution, which was in 1789, and it took them a few years to get all of it going. There's no way that a decimal American dollar, if it began in 1790, was based upon a French metric system. We still serve real pours here, though. In all kinds of weather.
  13. Decimal currency, yeah. Metric system though? The French were just starting to think about it in 1790. And a decimal calendar along with it.
  14. I didn't think *anyone* was using the metric system in 1790.
  15. Depends on the roster. If he has a reasonable NHL roster to work with, 20 or 30 games. If the Sabres are hitting the reset button again, longer.
  16. Go through the thread concerning the hiring of Adams if you want; I'm not going through the exercise again here.
  17. We don't need to "realize" any such thing. That's the hypothesis some people have put forward, is all.
  18. We don't even have the faintest idea what the roster will look like, either.
  19. Pete Carroll? Really? The Seahawks won one Super Bowl in spite of him and lost one because of him.
  20. If you couldn't pick up that realism was implied, I can't help you, SDS!
  21. Tappen works college and pro football and the Olympics, but I don't know about the rest of and Co.
  22. There's already a thread about this.
  23. I'm thinking Liger was being tongue-in-cheek, too. Oh, and I'll take that pipe...
  24. Not even an hour in, and we're speculating about the possible story behind the story. Never change, SS.
  25. Interesting. I know I like Weekes and Ferraro. I think Chelios will be insightful. Melrose is annoying and I have this hunch that Messier will be, too. Campbell might present a bit of a conflict of interest, but nothing we haven't seen before.
