I haven't been so not excited about a draft in a long time. I feel like whatever they do, my reaction will be "meh."

2021-2022 Buffalo Sabres Schedule has been released
Eleven replied to Thorner's topic in The Aud Club
I'm with you. One of the few things I enjoyed about last season was the division-only schedule. Those games aren't really locked in, though; there is no reason why they have to play home and away against every team in the league. I think that just a few seasons ago, they only played one game against the West teams, and it was home OR away. And they don't need to play everyone every season; they could make like MLB or NFL and be selective. That would, however, destroy your preference of seeing every team here in a season. -
NHL Fire Sale: Roster Freeze Ends, 1pm eastern, 7/22

You missed a word (I think you were talking about whether he played *well* in the playoffs) and he did: 5 points, 3 goals in 11 games, and he did really well in the first series. I don't like that Adams got fleeced, either, but Hall was fine once he moved on. -
Oh boy. I'm leaving this as a link instead of embedding the tweet for a reason. Trigger warning and I mean it. https://twitter.com/benpopecst/status/1418325746884431873?s=21

Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. If it was made in a lab, it wasn't made in an American lab, and I'm not sure what he means about Fauci "also a part of Pfizer." That's not the only vaccine available in America, and I would bet that most people with any type of retirement plan own "a part of Pfizer" if that's what Feliciano means. He can either be a good teammate or get lost, right there with Cole. Both are replaceable (Feliciano less so). Allen is the one I'm really worried about.

I love it. I'm so happy that the NHL is returning to the Winter Olympics that I might have to watch it even though it's in China. -
Sorry, I just can't agree with this, especially when the team is going to trade Eichel and has the opportunity to get an absolute stud as part of the return.
-
I think you're misinterpreting me maybe? A 90 point pace isn't good enough for the team to make the playoffs or do anything meaningful. They need to be better at nearly every position, including the two goaltender spots.
-
At no point did I say the team shouldn't sign Ullmark. I said that he ideally is a backup.
-
Let's not absolve Cole Beasley of being an idiot, while we're at it.
-
A 90-point team isn't good enough. And we can't keep looking at every player on the team and blaming the other 19 guys.
-
I mean, I hope you're right. But I don't think you are.
-
No, but maybe not dead last. And (mostly in response to other comments) durability is a fair factor to evaluate as well.
-
Desperately need another goalie. Ullmark should be a backup.
-
NS you used this link:https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2018/07/the-salary-cap-implications-of-a-shea-weber-early-retirement.html But I think you added everything up rather than multiply the 4.91M across the remaining 5 years. I think the penalty is only about 25M.

99% of the non-vaccinated people whom I know simply don't want to do it because they feel it is a form of government control, and then find reasons on social media to try to medically justify their decision. The other 1% are the true believers in the disinformation.

Expansion Draft -- Wed. July 21, 2021 (Release the Kraken)

Chris Fowler did the draft broadcast? (I was at the Sox-Jays game.) How? Why? This isn't college football! -

Maybe? Like one of their goalies, this team is just D'accord. -
I could practically define it as all prog rock EXCEPT Rush and Genesis.
-
Good progressive rock, sure. Worst episode ever.
-
This is beyond irritating but I think I know the reason for it: It would be "bad optics," as the business wonks say, to open the northern border without opening the southern one.
-
So Zadorov then.
